Hey Guys, been lurking as a guest on the forums for the past few weeks and finally decided to create an account. New to vaping here, switched from smoking for 7 years. First time i tried switching I was given poor advice at a local vape store and they started me off with an eGo kit and their in-house PG flavors and it was a miserable experience. Months later I went to different vape store (City Vape) and the guys there started me off on a Magma RDA and nemesis mod. Seemed a lot more complicated at first but after a few days I much preferred vaping to smoking cigarettes. Been vaping for about 7 weeks now.

Gonna be making some more posts soon as I still have a good amount of questions. :D

Edit: Ok, Gonna ask my first question now since I need to get my posts up before making new threads anyway :)

I've tried a lot of flavors in the past few weeks looking for good ones. I know, I know, its hard to recommend flavors since everyone has different tastes but I'm sure someone has similar tastes so try to help me out lol

I started with a single coil setup on a Magma RDA (not sure abt ohms, it was done by the guy at CityVape (my local vape shop) but it was 6 wraps on 26g kanthal) and a Nemesis Mod with an Efest IMR 18650 2500 mAh 3.7V. Dripping 6mg of NicQuid's Southern Freeze. Then NicQuid's Apple Frost (liked the menthol flavors alot since I smoked menthols). Since then I've changed to a dual coil on a TugBoat V2 RDA and now i dislike the Southern Freeze (at 6mg anyway), Apple Frost is still great but 6mg is a bit strong and i tend to use very little of it now and then.

My favorites so far have been Alpha Vape's Mr. Miyagi, Manchu and The Dude. Also really like Clouds of Hope's Strength. I vape these usually at 0mg or 3mg if available. 6 by itself without being diluted is too much. Vapor production on these (especially Alpha Vape juices are amazing because of the high VG) and the flavor is great too.

Now I'm trying to find new flavor's.
Tried The Vaping Rabbit's White Rabbit. I do like the dessert flavor of it (shortbread cookies, blueberry i think) but it gets a little irritating after a while.

Ordered a few flavors from MtBakerVapor (Blue Ice, Lightning, and Thug Juice) all at a higher VG/PG mix with 2 flavor shots. Out the box they were terrible, tasted like chemicals and perfume with menthol. After a 5 days now the thug juice is much better but the others are still bad. Guess I'll give it more time to steep

Anyway, what I guess I'm looking for is recommendations on E-Juice thats high in VG in a low nic (3, 2, 1 or even 0) thats great out of the box or after a LOW steep time. Fruit flavors are what I've been mostly looking for, also willing to try more bakery/dessert flavors after trying a Waffle juice (forgot name, tried at Brooklyn Vapors, its expensive stuff though). Or something similar to any of the Alpha Vapes I mentioned previously (the stuff's pretty expensive and quitting smoking has been saving me money but if i have to keep buying those I might end up spending more than before lol).

Any and all recommendations are welcomed.

Thanks!

I've seen similar problems in any form of business: a good example of one size really DOESN'T fit all.

A good business (be it a vape shop, gun shop, or car dealership) will work with you to find the product that best suits your needs. If you walk into a business to try something new, and they IMMEDIATELY "know what you need" without asking a bunch of questions, run!

Awesome! That's nice to hear. I've been into this for 4 years, deeply, and with so much going on, how this industry has exploded so fast, am not aware of what I would recommend to a newbie, and reading your OP I know what to say...

well at least to tell them what to look for; a B&M that will show you where the vapor is lol.

A couple years ago to suggest a mech tube and RDA would get you creamed on ecf!
Although there are dangers, its not rocket science, and its a lot more doable first hand (B&M) than trying to tutor a newbie on line.

While there may be other gear to introduce someone to vaping (ie. an ego and some sort of tank atomiser) why not?

That said, since you are doing your own rebuilding, (coils) you may find you have a smaller spectrum of resistance choices with a mech tube than i.e a DNA type of regulated device which can give you boosted voltage/watts so you can try higher resistances ( sub ohms to 1.3 ohms w/ mechanical vs. up to and beyond 2 ohms with more than 4volts ) which I find a great option. Just putting that out there.

I use both types.

Hello and welcome to the forum Nesh. Glad to have you here!:)

Did the vape shop educate you on battery safety, ohm's law, amp draw, etc.? Did you purchase an ohm reader and a voltmeter or DMM so you can measure your builds, check for shorts and measure the remaining charge on your batteries?

Thanks! Yeap I'm aware of the battery safety, and what I can and probably shouldnt do given the equipment I have. Plus anytime I think of doing a different setup (only have done two, i pop in to CityVape and get some info). I have a multimeter but havent needed much use since I've only been sticking to my same builds.

The consensus for the most part (not 100%) has been that if flavor is your goal, the RTA type atomizers like Kayfun, Russian, Fogger, etc etc (single coil) are superior to dual coil RDA's ... in other words, more vapor doesn't mean more flavor.
Magma is supposed to be one of the more flavor producing dual coil drippers and I believe its because the air source is under the coil.

I like Mr Miyagi ! and Alpha's style.
I always check reviews on a juice vendor's site if they have them, and peruse the eliquid sub forum.
I do DIY juice too but after a year I've only made one mix that i vape every day... lol.

Thug Juice + Hawk Sauce is an all-day vape for me, for sure. I ordered a 236mL bottle of Hawk Sauce and a 30mL bottle of Thug Juice about a month ago, and I'm almost done with both now (probably about 60mL left of Hawk Sauce, 10mL left of Thug Juice). I tend to mix them about 1:3 (thug juice:hawk sauce) because thug juice in itself is waaaay too mentholy for me (and I used to smoke menthol cigarettes).

You're right, my Magma RDA was great on flavor, but i prefer the Tugboat now.
I'm not necessarily looking for more flavor but better flavors really. Vapor production is important so thats why I stick to the dual coil RDA. Just looking for high VG juices or 50/50 mixes that are enjoyable to you guys since so far I've only found a few.

Since you like the Alpha Vapes Miyagi, any other flavors you also enjoy? I can check them out

How long do you steep them for? Out of the box my thug juice was terrible (as well as the other flavors from MBV) but after 6 days so far the thug juice is vapable, almost good. The other flavors are still funny tasting.

Some love Hoops (Alpha) a melon/cream ... i look on the Elevated site; they have an active review function. I used to make a lot of melon flavors and I admit its good but I'm OD'ed on melon vapes. It is very good as far as that goes.

Most of the juices I've gotten lately just come in high VG because its so popular they just make it that way... IMO VG got a bad rap in DIY but it is because its thick therefore people thought it didn't carry flavor as much as PG. But many are now making 100% or at least high VG because it actually carries flavor better, is sweeter, and can be diluted in the mixing process for better wicking.
Its a 30ml and only a ml or 2 out of it; if you want to trade for something i like?

Elevated Vaping has free shipping and i buy 120ml of Pencil one of my current favorites.

E Juices.com has lots of variety, current and new stuff too with sales all the time.

The other I buy all the time is Bamskilicious Lychee; its a tad perfumy and I grew up eating Lychees so may not be for everyone.
(I make a DIY Lychee base that I mix with the store bought to save $. I mix my base with 25% of Bamski)

If you want something fruity with lots of flavor try Ghost by Ruckus... its popular and packs a punch (flavor)

For less $ and great fruit flavor there's Nutty Kong (google it). Their Berrylicious is great, and if u like custard, their Vanilla Custard is great too.
