Hi everyone, I recently got into the world of vaping, I got ano EVOD vape pen. I would love to have some answers to some questions I have:

Can I charge the battery overnight?

When I push and hold the button, the juice/liquid starts to pop and snap, is that supposed to happen?

How do I clean the tank?

How long will a full tank of e-liquid last me?

Any recommendations on the right e-juice for me?

Thank you so much!

I have to use one finger on my tablet to answer...

The popping and snapping is the coil burning gunk/juice on the coil. It will also pop and snap if you put to much power to the coil. "Some" popping and snapping is okay. It is most likely burning sugars.

To me, vape pens tend to be less stable than full-size mods. I would stay in the 3.8 to 4.1 volts range.

1 Not recommend!
2 It may mean you have too much liquid in your wick. Remove the evod from the battery, turn it upside down, place a rag or paper towel over the drip tip end, and blow through the battery connection end. You should have some liquid on your rag/paper towel and your popping should calm down a bit.
3. Remove the evod from the battery, turn it upside down and remove the tank from the base. Rinse the tank under warm/hot water, shake any remaining water off/out and refill.
4. Until you empty it. YMMV
5. The one that works for you. You will need more than one flavor. Opinions vary. Also, you need a backup device. And a backup for your backup.

Yes, there is a bit of humor there, but in all seriousness, take it seriously.

Welcome to the ECF!

Thanks, also, is the EVOD starter kit a good start for me?

EVODs are good basic starter setups. You are probably going to want a glass tank sooner or later if you continue with an EVOD for any length of time. The tank that comes with the EVOD is plastic, and certain flavors such as citrus, cinnamon, etc., can severely damage plastic tanks. My daughter and I really like the EVOD Glass tanks. We found the EVODS to be dependable and easy to use.

As far as flavors go, you will probably want to experiment with a few different flavors and vendors to find a good match for you, both flavor-wise and budget-wise. Since we are constantly on a budget, my daughter and I favor vendors such as VapeWild and Mt. Baker Vapor - they have flavors that we enjoy, a selection of nicotine and pg/vg options, and their pricing suits our budget. We found that a 50/50 pg/vg mix works very well in the EVODS. We did use a few 40 pg/60 vg and 30 pg/70 vg blends successfully. Buy small bottles while you are experimenting - you do not want to get stuck with a large bottle of something that you cannot stand. Some vendors offer sampler packs for a reasonable price. Check out the E-Liquid forum here on ECF - I have gotten a lot of good recommendations for vendors from there.

Read. Ask questions. Get to know your device. Before you upgrade, figure out what you want from your vape, and check out the various suppliers recommended here. Ask about the pros and cons of various devices - ECF has a wide variety of members who are more than willing to share their experience with a wide variety of devices and vendors.

Most important, relax. Enjoy.

Fasttech should have them, but it will take a while to get to you from China. Fasttech does have very reasonable pricing, and they do let you know if you are buying an authentic piece rather than a knockoff. As far as other vendors, I am not certain - EVODS are not the hottest thing on the market right now. Try a Google search.

I have no idea of whether the Monster is any good or not. My daughter and I favor dessert/bakery eliquids.

Thanks. Also, would you know how to clean the atomizer (I think it's called) that heats up the liquid? The e-liquid keeps popping when I hold the button before I take that hit. And also, is it supposed to do that?

I clean my coils by rinsing them under hot water, soaking in white vinegar, then rinsing under hot water again. Let them dry at least overnight on a paper towel. Some people use unflavored vodka or everclear instead of vinegar.

Are you getting hot eliquid in your mouth when you vape? If so, your coil may be flooded - change the coil. Some popping is common with the EVOD.

Awesome and no I am not getting the actual liquid in my mouth, but the ring where the atomizer is gets very hot at times. And a few more things then I will be out of your hair. Is it smart to charge the battery overnight even though it says 2-3 hours, and how long should I wait between puffs. And do I fill the tank all the way of half or what? Thanks

Charge the battery where and when you can keep an eye on it. My chargers are set up by my computer, so that I can be sure that if there is a problem I will be aware of it.

What nicotine level are you vaping at? I go between 12 mg and 6 mg, and vape as often as I feel like it. There is no hard and fast rule as to how often or how much to vape. Are you trying to get away from smoking?

I fill the tank up to the level of the center tube, or just under. DO NOT put eliquid down the center tube.

Where did you get your equipment from? Did they not go over basics with you?

My daughter and I quit smoking, cold turkey, almost 11 years ago. The desire to smoke never left either of us. Almost 5 years ago, cravings and stress were making smoking again seem more and more desirable. My daughter had heard about ecigarettes somewhere. We researched. We hemmed and hawed. We finally tried Blu disposables. No more desire to smoke. No more cravings. We are still ex-smokers, happily vaping and still using nicotine.

Anything and everything I know about vaping has been thanks to this wonderful community. Every step up, every change to equipment, nicotine levels, etc., is thanks to ECF members and research on their part and my part. The only dumb question is the one that is not asked.

We cannot tell you what will work for you to quit smoking. That is up to you. However, we are here, with all of our different and varied experience levels, to try to help you to quit, or, at the very least, avoid, smoking. Good luck on your journey, and remember that we are here to try to help.

Can I charge the battery overnight? Yes, but read the manual to be sure. Most kits come with batteries that are fine, provided you use the proper charger that came with the mod.

When I push and hold the button, the juice/liquid starts to pop and snap, is that supposed to happen? Excess juice got into the wick or air bubbles. Nothing to worry about

How do I clean the tank? Rinse with warm water. Warm water and dish soap about once a month... rinse very well, shake to dry. You can air dry as well, but a spot or 2 of clean water doesn't really do anything.

How long will a full tank of e-liquid last me? Should last a day, depending on how much you puff

Any recommendations on the right e-juice for me? Liver and fava bean ejuice, and nice chianti while you vape.

Welcome.

1. Best not to leave these batteries unattended. If everything is working OK, you are safe, but things do go wrong with chargers and batteries.

2. Popping, yes.

3. Rinse the tank (but not the coil) out with water.

4. Most people seemed to use around 2 tanks-worth with 18mg liquid. But that was two years ago.
These days, all vape shops want to sell is low nicotine levels to the power vapers.

I guess you are in the US, so I won't recommend UK liquids.

PS - don't trust google for searches regarding the best e-liquid.
DO NOT TRUST REVIEWS. Ask the community instead.
