Firstly, I'm not a huge forum person, I generally hunt info a lot more than posting it; so if you ask me something and don't necessarily get a prompt response, plz don't take it personally.
So, let me tell you a bit about myself first. Like many others here, I've turned to vapor to try to escape cigarettes; I really want to be around for the people in my life that I care about, and don't want my last days to be accompanied by an oxygen tank.
Several failed attempts at quitting have left me with severe doubts about my own self control and will power - after all, every person who's not addicted is under the impression that 'if you want to quit, you will'. What many don't understand, is that I want to want to quit. I love the hand to mouth fixation, exhaling smoke, the throat hit etc. Have to keep reminding myself it's lethal and only bad things will result from continued use. I'm a pretty heavy smoker (1-1.5 packs a day) , and prefer Marlboro Reds and Camel Filters. I take medium to long drags, and generally go through a cigarette quicker than the average smoker (4-6 minutes, depending on situation)
I currently have 3 devices in my arsenal: (2x)Joye510, (2x)KR808D-1 and (2x)DSE-801. No passthroughs or huge batteries/mods [yet!] (a la VP2, protege' etc) I'm using 16-24mg strength liquids and have Marlboro, Hilton tobacco, Carolina Tobacco, Cherry, and Red Bull (1 VG and 1 PG) - Any suggestions to improve my results with these devices is more than welcome.
My impressions of these devices:
510 -
Good AWESOME throat hit (best so far), like the size, love the manual button and PCC charger - first one I've tried and effortlessly began smoking much less 'analogs' (Still not 100% sold on the lingo, I generally call them 'regular cigs') - about 1/2 to 1/3 less than normal.
Bad Seems to be inconsistent - when it leaks, it does so horribly, can go through juice/batt quickly (remember - Camels and Reds). Since I'm a heavy smoker, I find myself constantly dripping and topping off to get optimal drags. Good time to mention I'm still getting the hang of these so some of these things may be chalked up to user error - and yes, I've read about the fluval and am going to try it very soon ;-) Had good results with spring mod so far and am considering an E-Dob-It

Good Size, PCC case, decent amount of vapor, good throat hit sometimes (if I work at it)
Bad Unfortunately, I was a little let down with this one. Never seems to be quite enough vapor or throat hit (or at least not enough to pacify my own nic fits) - cartomizer gets a little too warm on the lips at times, and would much rather refill than worry about cartomizers burning up - checked out the autopsy pics on burnt cartomizers, not pretty. Flavor seems too mild. I understand you can refill these, so I bought plenty of blanks, but I can't seem to get a satisfying vape (so far), having used several juices with it.
DSE-801
Good Nice thick, slightly light tasting vapor, best flavor for me so far, very consistent and long lasting cartridges (unless I puff too hard/too much). Fruity flavors seem to work great on it - I'm very interested in trying a BE-112 which to my understanding is compatible with 801 stuff - also understand low bridge and high bridge attys have different results (Mine is a RIO bought from Vapornine) - overall pretty happy with this one so far. The size/form of this one works for me, doesn't bother me that it's larger than a real cig. Also noticed when juice is running low the flavor doesn't go from good to terrible in a single drag like my other ecigs.
Bad Doesn't have quite as much kick as I was hoping for, but isn't necessarily lacking either. The weight and length make this one not ideal for driving

Ben/vapornine - My shipment's batteries were back ordered, used his site's correspondence form and got a friendly prompt explanation in FIVE MINUTES via email. Great cat to deal with, will be doing business with him again for sure.
Terri/cignot - LIGHTNING fast shipping for all my 510 needs! Seriously folks, like shipped the day I ordered if and in the mailbox in 2 days tops. I'm convinced they're using Star Trek teleporters ;-) Great selection of hardware and accessories. Can't see myself ordering 510 gear anywhere else.
GrimmGreen and MoobyGhost (aka guy with the fedora) - for all their very helpful and detailed YouTube reviews. Seriously, if you look up a lot of the 'boutique' ecig reviews (Blu and Greensmoke primarily) on teh youtubes, the vast majority seem like the reviewers were somehow monetarily compensated, and acted as if I didn't know what an ecig was yet - with no comparisons at all to any other specific model on the market (that was my finding at least). That kind of thing is common nowadays (anyone hear of Belkin paying people for writing rave Amazon reviews of their sub-par routers that overheat?). However, these two guys (among others) are obviously not doing this to get paid, and are up front that in many instances a product was given to them for reviewing purposes. They both seem to review ALL kinds of vaping gear, know their stuff, make frequent comparisons, obviously use the stuff, and overall, give very fair, informative, and helpful vid reviews.
Got a ways to go still...even if I'm just smoking a heck of a lot less it'll be money well spent in the long run. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!
