hi all!
new PV owner, also owner of a few new tanks. i've decided to make these short first impression reviews to help myself and other new vapers.
the battery i am using is a vv eGo winder, 1300 mAh model. the juice i have is 18mg nicotine content blackberry flavored - i'm unsure of the base.
the first thing i thought when i saw this out of the box was "frosted flakes, this is huge." it can hold MORE than 3ml - which would be more than four, five days of my casual use. however, i read that it had some gurgling issues if filled more than 2, 2.5 ml. i filled it up a little more than 2 ml, i'd like to guesstimate at 2.25. filling was easy since the tank itself is so damn big - screw the top off and you won't have any problems filling it unless you're blind and have no fingers.
since the ohm rating was right on the box (2.1), i started with 3.6v. again, the dry pull test - first thing i noticed was how much i did not like the metal tip. the un-lit taste was comparable with the t3s. when i took the first real hit, i noticed that it was weak. after increasing the volts, i'm sitting currently at 3.7, 3.75 ish. the vapor production is between the t3s and the mt3, at these settings and with this juice. i'm noticing that it takes a little bit to warm up - hits longer than 3, 5 seconds produce noticeably more vapor than shorter drags - but this can be said of pretty much every tank. i just think that the 30s is better for longer pulls.
the drag weight on the 30s is heavy, i think heavier than the stock clearo. it's not a bad thing, nor do i mind it. the taste is a little strange, but i think this is because it has a metal tip and a LOT more wick to go through than the t3s and mt3. like i said in my review of the mt3, i will be posting an update after a week of use. (i'll try to make usage even between the three tanks xD)
TL;DR — it's okay. it's got a MASSIVE capacity, which would make it ideal if i go on a camping trip (no way i'm going to lug out a ton of tanks, i lose small things too easily), and the rotating tip is a neat feature. people seem to love it or hate it, and i'm currently undecided. we'll see how i feel in a week.
is it a good buy for a new vaper? perhaps. i'll make a prediction and say that i'm not going to use it as my go-to, but that doesn't disqualify it from the running.
thanks for reading! and again, happy new year!
edit: i did have to get an additional piece for this. since it is so large, there's a "neck" piece that screws on to the battery to support the tank. the tank itself screws right in just like the ts3 and mt3, but without the neck piece to support it, i can see it breaking easily.
