Hey ya'll. I have decided to give this a try as an alternative to smoking... after 30 years of Marlboro Reds or lights. Wife is a smoker also and is gonna give it a try... I picked up a couple kits from nosmokeva along with a bottle of 30mg juice and an extra atomizer. They sell what they call a Vapormaxx, which appears to be obviously a China import that is relabeled/packaged (the owners manual was a joke) . Curious as to what the kit really is??? I searched extensively and find nothing obvious, but maybe someone can look at their website and tell me what this kit is based on? Or I can take some close up pictures to compare.

Orginally, I was going to goto one of those kiosks, but this forum stopped me. TY for that :) Vapormaxx, nosmokeva.com also are local Richmond, Va. so I rode down and got them in person. Jimi and his wife are cool, and advertise lifetime warranty, checked each kit before selling them etc.... Will see soon, one of the atomizers wouldn't work this morning and emailed him, curious as to his response.

Wife is not really "liking" vaping, but is giving it a go. I am not liking the flavor as much as I would hope. Only using tobacco, but I keep having a metallic taste in my mouth? Really need to try some other flavor. Wife wants to find a sage??? I was like WTF? How bout cloves!

And I have had 1/2 of a smoke in 24hrs now....

As far as flavor, you might be working the primer taste out---the stuff they put on the atty to keep it moist.
If you've been at it more than a day, you're through the worst of it.
Next, the atty needs time to break in to get the ultimate vapor.
As far as flavors goes, you and wife are going to have to try different kinds until you find your favorite and sometimes it takes a while. Hopefully, you'll hit yours right off the bat.
Keep at it though because it's worth the effort.
Make sure you check out the health section when you get the time in between searching for the one (or two, three, four, etc, etc, etc,) ultimate flavors.
And last but least welcome and I'm sure there will be more advice by others.

You can find just about any flavor you want - that is one of the coolest things. I migrated away from tobacco flavors early on as I never really found one that didn't taste like an unlit cig, though I do enjoy 555 with a little glass of Drambuie. I never was a menthol smoker, but I have come to enjoy menthol and mint flavors - they have a nice throat hit even at lower mg levels. Best of luck - my wife and I started at the same time, and it's working great so far!
