Hi,
I'm like most new users and have ordered way to many samples of juice. Some of them are pretty rough! lol Live and learn. I was wondering with some diy goodies if there's a way to add some sweetness or flavors that would make them more tasty? I like the vanilla and caramel type juices the most. I also tend to enjoy the very sweet ones. Are they just a lost cause or can I change them? Thanks for any help. :)

I only recently started doing DIY juices. But I've been vaping for 3 years, and I have very rarely thrown out any juice -- just too expensive to do that. So I'd mix them together; at times I even added some vanilla extract right out of my kitchen to a few of them to make them taste better. A few times I added a few drops of my Canadian whiskey; wow that really helped, too. You can add lots of different flavors like caramel, vanilla, hazelnut, to name a few. To smooth out harshness I like adding cream (bavarian cream was my favorite for this) and/or sweetener.

A lot of the pre-made, store-bought fruit flavors were always way to perfumey/soapy for my tastes, so I'd add some of my watermelon or pineapple to them and that helped a lot.

The only ones I ever bought that I just couldn't fix were raspberry and blackberry. No matter what I did, they were just too perfumey for me. They went in the trash.

I will sure give some of these ideas a go! I saw someplace that you could use EZ-Sweetz. It is very concentrated. I've used it in cooking. Is there any harm in trying this? One drop equals 1 teaspoon of sugar. I have some Disaronno in there. Wonder how that would do? Mainly I don't want to poison myself by doing something completely dumb! I'm using mostly 18 for my nicotine strength. If I get to carried away it will start to delete the strength I'm sure but wouldn't mind it going down to anything 12 and above.

I've used liquid Stevia. With sweeteners, less is more. They're usually pretty concentrated, so do it a drop or two at a time. Also, you can buy sweeteners at some of the DIY flavoring sites. I think USA Made Vapor Renu : Electronic Cigarettes Refill Cartridges : Candy Flavorings : E Cig Liquid Nicotine : Cartomizer Refills : Menthol E-Liquid : Flavoring Oils : E Cigarette Refills has some. Others have it, too. Also, ethyl malto is sometimes sold as Cotton Candy, so you can get a Cotton Candy e-liquid in the nic level of your choice (18mg/ml) and mix it with anything. That way you won't be diluting the nic so much.

I usually add some mint or menthol ejuice to juices i don't like or am bored with. I happen to have mint and menthol ejuices laying around that I need to use up - but flavorings could be used as well. Mint and/or Menthol is nice with fruit/berry flavors, chocolate/candy flavors, tobacco flavors of course - almost anything.

You mentioned you like vanilla flavors - the bottle of menthol I'm currently working off is DeKang Menthol - it has a pretty nice vanilla flavor as well as the menthol component. It goes really well with tobacco flavors and is not bad on it's own once in a while.
