Hi everyone! Ive been lurking for a couple months and decided I wanted to be part of the discussions. I've been vaping a few months now. I started with the Blu system, which lasted about a month. I still had to smoke with them, though. Due to the short battery life I only used them at home. Which meant I had to use cigs during the day, at work.

Then while walking through the mall I saw a stand selling cig-a-likes. I stopped to talk to him and tried a sample. That one toot was so much more satisfying than the Blu. I immediately bought a kit, left the mall, and gave away my last pack of cigs. Never touched another cigarette since. These did surprisingly well for me. One battery lasted me the whole time at work, until I got home. And the carts lasted me about a day and a half.

Then I jumped online and began reading about better batteries, tanks, juices, etc. So, about a month ago I googled vape shops around me, and found a place, about an hour way. I went in there and walked out with a Vision Spinner 1300mah, with Protank 2, and two different juices.

I loved that setup. But, being somewhat a geek, began reading about variable wattage devices. Well, I ended up ordering a MVP v2. I'm loving every minute of that. I've got some EVOD tanks now, my PT2, a couple iClear16s, and a Mini PT2 v2 on the way. I've got quite a few juices too, but I only have one that I can vape all day. The rest rarely get used (which kinda is depressing because I hate wasting money). I did order some Dragons Blood that I think will make a nice all day juice as well. Right now it's steeping, so we will have to see. I loved the sample, and was able to do that one all day, so there is some hope.

Anyways, I've enjoyed reading this forum. Everyone seems so helpful and friendly. vaping has become more than just a cig-replacement to me. It has become a hobby, and I'm excited to join a community of people doing the same thing. I look forward to participating!

Hi and welcome to ECF,

Congratulations on giving up the smoking! The MVP 2 is an awesome device, great piece to start with.

You don't say where you are in Michigan, but if you are in or are ever near Grand Rapids, Mister-E-Liquid has some AWESOME flavors, and you can try them all in the shop. I was there once this summer and left there wishing I lived nearby, it was a great experience.

HTH!

I live in northern Michigan. The store I went to was Grand Traverse Vapor in Traverse City. I believe they get their juices from Kalmazoo.

Thanks for the welcomes!

Welcome to ECF! This forum is great. Lots of helpful people here, plus it sounds like you could help a lot of new to vaping people out too. Hasn't been good for my wallet to be here though. I was okay with my original set up. Simple, generic 650 mAh variable volt with a bottom coil clearo. Joined here almost a month ago when I was searching for a back up to it. Figured I may as well learn what I can. Now I have two Mini Protank IIs, an iTaste VV v3, an MVP 2, couple of iClear 16's, an iClear 30, countless plastic bottom coil clearos, an iClear 30b and a third mini Protank on the way..... To their credit, many here said stick with what works for you. They also said back ups though, so.... Oh the shiny stuff...

I'm in Metro Detroit and I've been to two B&M shops. Great Lakes Vapor in Farmington, been twice. Pleasant visit each time, good advice (I'm new to vaping) and their Apple Cinnamon is amazing. Jay's mix is good too, a different flavor and nice to mix up my routine with it. There is a negative review of the store somewhere on here but my experience was very good. Tricky to find, they are in the back of the old wine building.

Finally got to Vaporcraft in Clawson. Excellent experience. I dealt with Charles. He didn't know I had already obsessively researched this forum, but I'm glad to say everything he said and recommended was completely on the mark. Prices were good.

I recommend stoping by either store if you are in Metro Detroit. Can't wait to drive around and hit some more stores.
