Hi all. Another noob here, have been vaping for the past month and am almost off of a 20 year 30 B&H a day habit thanks to the excellent posts on this forum which I've been reading up on since beginning, but Ihave a couple of questions.

Like a lot of UK smokers, I picked up an E-Lites from the supermarket which I quickly replaced due to ongoing cost with a Jacvapour V1PCC starter kit. I returned that due to the pointlessly small ppc and generally awful cartomisers. Got an eCab which I use at home and a E-lites Pro 4 (which I fill with a delicious Liberty Flights Winston liquid into compatible Boge cartomisers) for work. I know there are better alternatives, but due to work, it's important that it remains cig-a-like and convenient for me to carry around.

I seem to get through quite a bit of liquid at the moment (14mg) which I think is probably because of the long deep drags I take in order to get that familiar feeling. So my question is this; If I go for a higher nic level (24mg for instance), am I in theory more likely to take smaller drags to get the same throat hit/nic content and therefore use less liquid? With 14mg, I feel like I did when I tried to smoke lighter cigarettes (taking longer drags deeper into the lungs).

Sorry if I'm asking a dumb question, but I haven't found an answer to this anywhere. Thanks a lot in advance guys! :)

No, that is an excellent question. My experience when I first started was similar, I did move up from 12mg to 18mg and it did work. I was vaping less, my sessions where shorter and in between I did not crave.

I ran that way for about 6 months, then began to decrease nic levels.

Welcome to ECF and congratulations on moving away from the stinky s.

I would try 18mg nicotine first. 24 might make you feel woosy. Or try both.

If you are using a cigalike you are probably not getting the amount of vapor somebod with a big mod w/tank is getting, so yes, I'd try higher nicotine content.

If you want cig a like system for work check out the Joyetech eRoll. There is a topic about it here, sounds nice. PCC case, etc.

Thanks a lot for your replies. I did start on 18mg, but due to a mistake when ordering 30ml I ended up inadvertently reducing the nic :)

I was looking at the eRoll and was torn between this and the one I eventually went for. Ultimately it came down to the consideration of less hassle with a pcc filled with cartos. Don't have the time during my working day to be refilling the small eRoll tank, but it certainly is a good looking piece of kit.

I'm actually very happy with my set-up. I've tried quite a few in a local vape store, and I seem to be in the minority with happily rocking a RN4081 set. With the Boge cartos and excellent juice, I'm getting great vapour and battery life. I find myself using this more than my manual battery eCab which does not seem to satisfy as much.
