Does anyone if these can actually deliver 4 amps? Specs like 4A switch and 4A limit aren't the same as saying it can push 4 amps of current.

Everything we've learned about the 1.5t versions suggests that the "4 amp limit" is bogus. Whether that's exaggerated marketing hype or a change between original design specs and final production realities, I don't know. Or care.

Experience suggests that the working limit of a Young June v1.5t is in the 3-amp range (2.8-3.2), somewhere around 13-15 watts. For the price, however, I'm not the least bit unhappy with the 1.5t's vaping experience, which is significantly more powerful than the L-Rider v1.0's 2.5 amps and mystery voltage drop.

As far as I know all (most?) of the V1.5 and V1.5t units have that glitch.

I had a long and pleasant phone conversation with one of the vendors who sells the V1.5t, and he told me that his Young June rep had assured him that Young June had quickly fixed the more serious chip-shorting problem after the first production run of V1.5s, so that all subsequent V1.5 and V1.5t units are safe from meltdown, but that the company felt the "zombie low-voltage mode" shutoff glitch to be insignificant and wasn't concerned.

I can't verify the truth of that, so don't take it as gospel, but that's what I was told.

I have admit that---as an owner of two V1.5t Vtubes---I'm not very concerned, either. I don't take my Vtubes out of the house and into the Big World, and I never put them in my pocket, so I'm not inclined to use the 5-click shutoff. So, for me it's not a deal-breaker, given the high quality of the vape for such a relatively low price. YMMV.

You are ABSOLUTELY correct and the Variable X is NOT a 4 amp device! It is in FACT a 3.2 amp device and is a 1.5T with a V1 body...FACT!
