The ones with the metal casing and window....

I imagined this has been brought up somewhere, but, I bought two. Both started leaking profusely. Took them apart and it looks like the plastic inside near threads has "melted' and/or cracked. I guess it's not made of the same kind of plastic tube as the previous version.

Bummer. Seemed cool for a couple weeks...

This sucks as I just received 4 yesterday. Are you using a caustic juice in them?

Mine started leaking the exact same way with totally safe juices. I just got the full-metal sleeve and THAT issue was solved. (replaces the tube, doesn't go over it)

I still find the VVN to be a bit leaky -- I was likely "overfilling" .. with the liquid not touching the bottom of the rubber seal thing.

YMMV on these things. When they're good they can be pretty good. But most of the time they just irritated me. ;)

Only the same juices I've been using in the all plastic vivi tanks.

Virgin Vapor, 100% VG, fruity varieties. I did put some mint or clove in them as well.

The all plastic ones have lasted through everything. Been dropped, bent, stepped on even...

I think they must've used a different plastic inside on the new ones thinking it need no be so durable since it's got metal around it. Let me know how yours work out.

Yeah, I have an all metal tube which I used once. It has no o-ring or anything to prevent it from leaking. Mine was always "sweating" out of the bottom threaded area. Metal on metal threading seemed to be a problem for me...

I have the original VVN's and the colored aluminum and colored plastic tanks. Never had one leak in over a month of use.

I have been using the new window ones without issue so far for a few days, but worried. The plastic liner in these new ones is very thin. It was a good idea, but if this doesn't wok out, will keep using the aluminum ( I have several caustic juices) and original plastic. Clean, these work well and for me have never leaked.

Leaks are nearly always a matter of over fill by the way. When you screw the cap on the juice is forced into the center chamber and leaks through air hole at bottom. On the originals, also make sure you have caps on very snug.

Hmmm...I've been using one of the two Vivi Nova STV's every day now for nearly a month and haven't lost a drop!

That's good news. I really have been leak free. The only leaks I ever saw were early on via unintended overfill and being too lazy to take any out. It gets forced out somewhere.

To follow up, the threads are cracked in 2 or 3 places on the bottom, even visible up to the bottom of the window. I suppose we can say it's because I mistreated it, but I've dropped all my vivis (windowed and the clear plastic ones) while attached to battery many many times, had them in my pocket while standing/sitting/etc -- meaning they have pressure on them and are getting bent to some degree. I even dropped a plastic clear one on the concrete then stepped on it (heard crunching sound of dirt and gravel scraping) with no resulting leak or damage. Only the windowed ones have given me problems.
