I haven't used my vortex in a little while. Compared to a saphire, vortex gives more and slightly warmer vapor. If the vortex is wicking well it has more flavor as well. The vortex also is much less consistent, and prone to leakage, and the buildup of juice in the tube over the coil. The saphire fits into it's own niche, as does the vortex. This is of course comparing it to a first version vortex. When it comes to a vape, the vortex would be my choice. Consistency and trouble free goes to the sapphire. The first vortex reminds me of early edition ce2's. Lots of potential, just not right yet. The vortex 1 is the bipolar guy. Happy and bubbly one minute, then in a funk the next. The sapphire is the level headed one. It won't captivate everyone at the dinner party, But you know it won't be the one with a lamp shade on it's head at the end of the night.
