I made so many cool VV mods that pack lots of power but they were all lacking in battery life with only a day and a half max before charge on the 14500 batts . I decided to make a mod with the same power but great battery life using 2 18650's . I came up with the DarkNyte .

Uses
2 AW 18650's
OKR-T6 chip with PTC Fuse
VV from 3.7v -5.99v
5 Amp flush mount switch (Love these switches even more than the horn switches .
Project box
LED atty light
Drip cup
510 connector
magnetic cover
Fits in my hand

What i like most about the button is it fully recesses in the housing so when its pressed its flush . That and its smooth . Also if laying the mod down on the button it will not fire unless putting pressure on it .You have to really want to fire it for it to work .The concave fits my thumb good too . Good prophets is having a sale on these buttons right now . They are rated at 5A as well .

Nice one St8!

I'm using the 4x2x1 box on my next mod. I put a piece of sand paper on the table and ran the front of the box over it to remove the 'bumps'. It left a smooth but matte surface. Once I get my larger magnets, I plan on filling the screw holes with some Plumbing Putty Epoxy to get a smooth look to the cover also. These RS boxes are nice for the price.

Almost all my wooden VVs are dual 18650s. I only get about 1.5 days out of them, tho. I'm using Madvapes VV circuit, tho. I plan on doing some step-up converters soon, so dual batts will be obsolete for me.

I like your mod alot! Looks clean and functional. I bet it vapes like a champ.

Thanks thats what i was going for .Clean, solid and powerful + good batt life . The thumb trimmer works great for changing voltage quick and easy . It comfortable too . It fits my hand like a glove . It vapes better than any premade mod will . The okr-t6 chip is a powerhouse .

You can use dual batts with step up . I made a step up mod with two 14500's in parallel which get great batt life .You can add a charge port that way as well . The 4050 chips just dont have the power as the step down okr's . I get close to 1.5 days with my 14500 okr-T mods .

Forgot one pic

Ok can someone explain what a step up to me is? Sorry to ask but I was thinking of a way I can charge from the box but had no clue how. I am intrigued :)

Looks good, but If you were looking for "great battery life" why would you choose 1600mAh cells? Seems it would make more sense, especially when dealing with the size and weight of a pair of 18650s to maximize your mAh.

Food for thought.

One reason is because i have and buy only AW IMRs . IMRs pack a little more punch and have a safer chemistry so im willing to sacrifice some batt life since its still lasts a long time as is . All my higher mah 18650's like my AW protected and Callies Kustoms i dont have a pair of just a single .

I always see this 'safer' stuff. As far as I can tell we only have one legitimate, documented battery meltdown.

Safer chemistry is just a added plus .In all my years of using Liion batts iv never seen a meltdown so its not that im worried or anything . I use to build 18650 flashlights over on CPF .Cant knock AW IMR's even with the lower mah they are at the top of the list next to the AW protected and Callies . Callies being the best IMO . Iv never had any AW IMR's fail . Even when you take them down to 2.5 or lower by accident they pop right back up in V .

Iv seen much worse pic than that . The worst iv seen is a guy had one explode in a flashlight and severely burnt his hand while the back cap shot through a steel coffee pot and battery put a huge dent in his range hood . Its scary but your right it almost never happens . When it does its 99 times out of 100 stupid user error . Like using stacked unprotected non branded non rechargable cells .

Just a update . That switch that i used which i really liked as well as other liking it broke . I was using it and the button and spring shot out of it . This was a bad thing but turned out to be a good thing .

I put the button back in it without the spring . It clipped back in ok but now its awesome . It made a circuitless touch switch . I just put my finger on it and it fires but wont fire at all by itself . Now that it broke i love it even more lol . The sensitivity is perfect . Figured id post my findings for anyone that wants a touch switch without using a mosfet . :)

I'd be careful with that.

Dont worry it works great . If it were too sensitive or turned on by itself in anyway i wouldnt recomend it but it works flawlessly . Iv tried to get it to fire in different positions and it wont unless you finger touches it . It kinda sits above the contact point until your fingers on it . I WOULDNT GO KEEPING IT IN YOUR POCKET THOUGH without a master switch . Thats just common sense though . I have never put my pvs in my pocket .
