lol....newp, just the mama/son dance, and I bawled all the way through it of course. But there were no chairs at the reception other than 4 comfy chairs up a few steps away from where everything was going on. Chris, (the best man and one of my adopted kids) brought me a folding chair, but it really didn't have a back to it, and of course, as soon as I got up someone else plopped down in it anyhow. So I did way too much standing. Same goes for the so called rehearsal dinner the night before. Lots of standing, and no real point for us to be there, we didn't rehearse or even discuss anything. The bride took mama outside at one point (nearly killed her with the heat out there), and went over the order of things just with her......but most everything they told her changed anyhow. Grrrrr At least it's over now, but I'm still recovering from that and a nasty thunderstorm last night. I could sure feel that one coming!

It was basically appetizer/finger food stuff set out buffet style. they had several high top type tables that you could stand at. I pulled out the piano bench and sat on that while I tried to eat something. Got a few bites down but that was it. I can't imagine for the life of me what possessed her to pick this place. But they were getting down to the wire, and this was the 3rd or 4th place they'd changed to. Her aunt uses a walker, this place had NO handicapped anything. Nothing was paved, all gravel.... quite a few steps to get up to get into the place, no place to sit down, and VERY woogedy steps all cattywhompus where we had to go down to get out to where we had to walk down the aisle. Then they put a white very thin fabric on the grass to walk on down the aisle. Poor little ring bearer tripped on the thing and fell flat on his face. He wasn't injured, but boy if that had been us older/already injured folks, that would have been very serious. We don't bounce good anymore.

Deb....so sorry it wasn't a more enjoyable event for you.....don't think that girl was trying to score many points with others....that's a shame.....but hopefully the marriage will be better than the wedding

Jup, I hope so too. Thanks sweetie! Yeah, I ended up having to leave before it was over. But oh well. It's still weird to think of him as married. lol
