A wood lathe? Thats awesome! What did you do, buy some (dont know what they're called) tungsten carbide cutting bits and pray they fit your machine? Or are they the same used for milling wood?

i bought 2 1/2 drill chucks, one for the headstock, one for tailstock, i made a tool holder for my tooling, basically just adapted the wood lathe to get it to do what i want.

A 'liked' post does not mean you've got that number (or that you yourself are even liked). The first person to pick a number gets that number whether it's marked on the board or not. When we 'Like' your picks that means one of the five helpers are marking them on the board. If there are any mistakes/conflicts, we will reply to your post. So check back a while after you pick to see if we noted any problems.

Please do not edit your pick posts.
If someone already took your number, please wait for a helper to post the error. Please "Reply With Quote" to the helper's post with your new pick.

Wife and I took the dog down to the beach to play in the water for an hour or so, then came back and hosed the salt water off him before clearing out a bunch of crap built up in the house. Got some teriyaki chicken that's been cooking in the slow cooker all afternoon and a pot of brown rice that should be done in a half hour or so. :) I love my rice maker.

LOVE rice cookers!!! It has been a complete lifesaver here

I've never been without one and have burned through 4 or 5 of them in my lifetime. The one we have right now is the kind with the lid that snaps closed and has different electronic settings. Best thing about it is the timer setting. I'll load it up at night with steel cut oats, some water and a handful of dried fruit and then set the timer for when I'll get up for work. Then I have hot, fresh oatmeal waiting for me when I get out of the shower. :)
