Yep. It's pretty much the same as a regular amazon prime membership, but with a student discount.

As far as I know, it's just that you have to register a .edu address on your account.
Yep. Just checked it out. They ask for your expected graduation year and major and a .edu address, then send a verification email to that address.
How do I tell what type I currently have? I know it was a student account but might be regular prime now.
I dunno. Probably in your account settings. If it's a student account, you can't have guests on your account either. So if you have guests, then it's probably regular Prime.

LOL, I wish!!! I wonder what % of the time water would get chosen ... my guess is less than 10% provided the beer is decent.
If you still do have a student account, you can send me a referral. That's why I was asking. We're thinking about signing up and I figured I'd let someone get the referral credit if they had a student account.
I think I do still have a student account! Hopefully I will not need to reverify my .edu address next year because mine is closed since I finished school.
