I checked the breakers and fuses and there all good so I shut it off, I'll turn it back on in a few ans see if it resets.

If its a window AC, good chance the plug has a breaker on it, and thats whats tripped

That took out the Starter Capacitor in my outside unit one time. PLEASE Check the outside unit to see if it's hot. If it is, that means the Fan Motor is trying to start, but it can't. You'll need to kill the whole AC in that case, and call a repairman.

I hope it's not that, but if it is, the repair won't cost too much.

The compressor is on the roof, when I went up there to check the fusses the fan was running but the compressor wasn't.
