jus a lil note.... when refillin th new protank II pay tention that jus th base is unscrewin, an not th tank assembly. (kinda keep from gittin a handfulla joose!!)

That is pretty much a standard recommendation with all BCC's so far... the PT2 unscrews from the bottom just like the original PT.

you misunderstood or i wasn't clear enough, the whole thing will come apart. all bcc's have to be inverted yes, but if you are not careful/paying attention the top section will unscrew instead of just the base. the pyrex is sandwiched between, sealed with o rings. i guess i had tightened the base tighter than i had the top section. when i went to refill i had it by the top section,and the knurled portion of the base, it came loose at the top instead of just the base coming out as usual.

I actually didn't misunderstand... I actually grab just the very bottom of any of them for the very reason you mention... The Vivi Nova's ( both big and mini, which are top coils even ) were the first I recall having this exact issue with. There are a lot of them out there with several parts to them and if you don't watch it... you'll end up with a lap full of juice.
