I am just wondering how that one word became the most popular word in the english language.![]()
The way I explained it to my daughter is that it's a very powerful word. It can be a very useful and important word. It raises the emphasis and impact of the phrase you add it to and that can be a good thing. But if you use it all the time, it robs the word of it's power and it just becomes another word. Plus, it makes you sound like an idiot. The article, I feel, uses it correctly.![]()
Thank you Ccat. To me, most of the time, it does make one sound like an idiot but have to admit that the article was funny as all get out.![]()
Dumb**** can't express his sorry a** without ****ing swearing every two ****ing words.I work at a small college and it amazes me sometimes to listen to students talking and one of them will, literally, insert the f-bomb at least once and sometimes two or three times per sentence. One of them even used both the f-bomb and "freaking" in the same sentences as in "And then the freakin' ****ing car swerved into my ****ing freakin' lane." *facepalm*
