have you tried running a vinegar/water solution through it to clean it? i have a bunn too,not sure how old, Ive had around 5 years and it was used when i got it, every so often i just run a pot of vinegar water through it, then three or four pots of fresh water to flush it out.

Thats what I use except straight, and I put a filter in there to catch the junk then I shut it off and dump the hot vinegar back in there and let it soak works kind of like a hot tank then I run it through again.they do have a ball check between the heater tank and water tank that can clog with grounds if your like me and miss the filter evey now and then oh and I do it outside

Yes, I may have to run straight vinegar. We have quite of bit of calcium in our water here. I like mine to soak overnight but I thing dh just ran it thought the last time. This model has the 3 minute brew where it has water in the extra cylinder where it always stays hot.

Sorry.....went back to bed this morning...LOL

My new coffee maker came with a filter that goes on the top of the coffee grounds basket to filter the water for some of the stuff....but yeah....I always have white distilled vinegar on hand for a myriad of cleaning purposes.....:D

Oh, I want one of those! :)

I keep looking at the Keurig with interest then talk myself outta it because once you buy the unit, you're forever indebted and a slave to the "pod" sale hunt. :D
