I keep looking at the Keurig with interest then talk myself outta it because once you buy the unit, you're forever indebted and a slave to the "pod" sale hunt.

yep...those are nice....but you can have enough fun shopping for coffees without being tied to those pods.....I think I spent a whole night just looking at everything that's out there now in in coffee....it's like shopping for fine wines...

For sure having a lazy Sunday over here! Woke up at 7am was up til about 8:45am, fell back asleep until 10:30am, was awake again until noonish, fell back to sleep until 1:45pm... I think I might have narcolepsy today.. Gloomy and rainy out all morning so I see fit to bust out the old easy like Sunday morning pic & song!

Plus, while they're convenient, they're really only good if you like very watered down coffee.

I've read about those........... but it would be too easy to fall into the convenience trap.

I just found a neat trick you can remove the top part of the airflow controller that GV sells and screw a Ego cone right on there so it will work with carto's but the well part isn't deep enough to work with a mini protank

Those 'pod' coffee makers might be convenient for some but if your not using the reusable pod thing with your own coffee just think of how much extra waste you are generating for that convince....
And I too need my whole pot. If we don't drink it all right away - well its coffee so its usually good for a day or 2 with no problem or it goes in the fridge cuz that's what microwaves are for

An ol' Farmer's Almanac hint.......... never throw out coffee (I've never tried to fridge it) because diluted coffee and the grounds make a great nutrients additive for your plants. I just throw the cooled pot onto my hydrangeas and azaleas. The seem to love it.
