I made my first dual micro coil today for my smoktech rda.

I used 32g kanthal and tried to stay above 1.5 ohms for my mvp, came out to 1.8 ohms, I had to drill a air hole in the cap because the stock one comes from under the coil and I wanted both coils to get air.

I used peaches and cream yarn for the wick, the coils got a little screwed up getting the wick in but not to bad.

I plugged the stock air hole with a toothpick and broke it off so I could get more juice in it with out so much leaking.

I should have started small with the hole and worked up, instead I started with a 3/32 hole and I bet 1/16 would have been better for me, bit I guess I will have to live with it for now.

But all in all it hits really good, LOTS of vapor, and the flavor is really good.

I know some of the elders around here use JB weld and re drill when they get a hole to large;)Or you could weld it up sand and buff then redrill then you could put the hole right you need it

I am brand new to the coil rebuilding scene. I think that more wraps would raise my ohms but I was under the assumption that the coils shouldn't touch one another and the "base" where the coils sit in is very small, so it it difficult to add more wraps.

Micro coil's are the opposite, they need to be tight together. I love the micro coil's, it's all I use now.

Some are building micro coils then standing them on end with hemp packed around them

I was wondering about that, wasn't sure if the jb would be ok or not, I guess I need to pick up some jb and see what I can do.

I'm confuzzled. I thought there had to be space (a micrometer or so) between each wrap of coil.
