I am brand new to the coil rebuilding scene. I think that more wraps would raise my ohms but I was under the assumption that the coils shouldn't touch one another and the "base" where the coils sit in is very small, so it it difficult to add more wraps.

Coils touching is ok, as long as they all touch each other like this in a evod, my very first coil ever.

Its called a micro coil, I can get about 8 to 10 wraps of 28g or 13 to 15 of 32g, but 10 wraps of 32g on a 1/16 drill bit is around 2.5 ohms if I remember correctly.

I did 13 wraps of 32g on each coil in this dual coil setup which was 3.6 ohms each making the final outcome of the dual 1.8

I was wondering about that, wasn't sure if the jb would be ok or not, I guess I need to pick up some jb and see what I can do.

JB will work just get it real clean and don't use much might be better to just plug that hole and make a new one

I think it may be to course for a wick, I have seen some people talking about hemp and the pics they showed was very fine almost like cotton.

I use either cotton balls or peaches and cream unbleached yarn.

The wicking and flavor is great

I wanna try the peaches and cream..............Kmart???..............Walmart?????

Walmart, I got a roll of peaches and cream ecu yarn. Which is what I understand to be unbleached, it is kind of a dirty white color. I think it was like 2 bucks, I just picked up some cheesecloth to try out today, I've heard good things about it as well

I know a lady that has 2 birds kind of like yours they talk and sing they have a giant size cage but she lets them run around the house when she is there(they love her woodwork) Those two will climb on top of the cage it's like 4 ft tall sit up there and call the dog, when the dog runs into the room they stay quiet till he leaves then they call him again I have seen this go on for hours and her dog falls for it every time:D

What are the advantages to a microcoil as opposed to a "regular" coil?

A micro coil will give you close to a sub ohm experience with out going sub ohm.

With the coils touching you have more contact with the wick which intern produces more vapor, similar to sub ohm because more heat from sub ohm creates more vapor .

With a micro coil it isn't as hot as sub ohm but still tons of vapor.

Mine aren't great talkers. Poeia says "Hello, I love YOU" and a few other phrases like "no ow" but her diction has gotten worse as she got older (she's 21.) Annabella says "Hello" and has never shown any interest in learning another word but she loves Morse code -- she knocks on things or clicks her beak and I am to respond. They definitely understand a few words -- their names, kiss, bath, step up (for Annabella), up NOW (Poeia) and Ow. If I'm home and awake, they are out. Their cages have flat tops so they hang out there (or on me.) They do not hang out together. Annabella wants physical interaction and Poeia screams as if she's been bitten… *sigh*

My parents once visited people who had a parrot that imitated the electric can opener. Every time he did, the cat would run into the kitchen. When they got home they asked me if the bird knew what it was doing. (The answer is, of course not. The first time it happened, people laughed and made a fuss. That's the positive reinforcement that set the behavior. Plus it's probably a fun sound to make.)
