Can someone tell me what the key on my keyboard that says prtsc/sysrq is for
If you hold down the ALT key and press PrtScr (print screen) it will capture the current window to the clipboard. Holding CTRL and pressing PrtScr will capture the whole screen to the clipboard.
You can then paste into a graphics program (Paint) and save as a file.
The sysrq is a very old holdover from MainFrame days, and doesn't do anything on most systems.

My sysrq key says print screen......?
yup, all sysrq will do is make a screen capture of the foreground. In linux and other operating systems it can have some funstion but not in windows anymore.
My key says "print screen". I'm not much of a computer person. I'd be afraid to push the button.
with windows 7 (or 8 I assume) you can just use the snipping tool it is a lot faster. No need to open a program to save the image. You can size it quickly to avoid capture of all your important tool bars and such..

When we 'Like' your picks that means one of the five helpers are marking them on the board. If there are any mistakes/conflicts, we will reply to your post. So check back a while after you pick to see if we noted any problems.
Please do not edit your pick posts.
If someone already took your number, or an error was made, please wait for a helper to post the error. Please "Reply With Quote" to the helper's post with your new pick.
A helper will announce a new round of picks at random times, so check back often and keep track of what round you've already made picks in.
Rounds may last anywhere from 16 seconds to 36 hours based solely on our whim. There are no rules. Life is unfair. Good luck!
We call it a "reset" when we go into a new round. You still keep all of your previous picks. If you miss a round you do not get to back and make up picks. You can only make picks for the current round....and ONLY 1 set of picks
The game ends when the sheet is filled. We then announce the winning pick.
Play to win! There will be no PIFing of number picks. The winner of any contest can PIF the prize if they choose to do so Here.

I just moved to 7 this year not as bad I I once thought. I hung on to my Xp as long as my comp would let me.
I love 7, but 8 can kiss my big hairy...
Sorry not a fan of 8, at least not yet I like 7 to much to switch.
And it seems like it would feel like a big phone.
Not a huge fan of touch screen PC's, my printing press at work has a touch screen and I only use it when I cant reach my keyboard.
