I know I can't explain... my own card that I seldom use got hit with one just last week. My bank actually caught it since it was an out of the ordinary purchase... they stopped the charge and contacted me to verify it. They are issuing me a new one as we "speak"

It's probably best to do an internet search to find out tips and tricks you can do to help avoid CC fraud. Of course for the fraudulent charges you may have now, contact the bank and they will tell you how to proceed.
That was basically what happened to me. It was not the card I use for online purchases and it was seldom used at all.

Thanks for all the Credit Card Updates y'all.

So this thing isn't close to being over yet. :shock:

It has been my feeling that the Banks that back the CC Co's have been hacked. Whatever it is, it seems to be at a very high level.

I agree. If so many of us in this little thread have been hacked, then imagine how that translates to the general population.
A local grocery store got hacked about 2 months ago and there were massive problems in our community. Thank goodness I never shopped there.

Good evening all.

Are we ripe with CC fraud?:( Apparently.
Y'all do know there is a thread up on this CC subject right?
People where calling foul on GV and everything, but those peeps would be wrong to do so. (also against the rules in that particular new-user thread too since Danno can't defend GV there)
Anyhow, the common CC-fraud theme I'm seeing is Walmart and Vagas ??? (I defer jokes here to others:laugh:)

Personally, I can vouch for the gas station scenario. 6 months ago, I had my regional bank card used at a Wyoming motel, but the bank alerted me before any harm came to my account. That card was only used at gas stations during the previous few months.
:2c::)
