Seriously! I've been doing that every night for years. It's that much of a worry.
I don't doubt it.
Granted, my situation is not the same as it's not my spouse, but I have a VERY laid back cat that is diabetic and we have had such a difficult time regulating his insulin since Lilly discontinued the one and only one that worked REALLY well for him. We've had several insulin scares with trips to the emergency clinic (of course they would almost always happen in the middle of the night). With him being as laid back as he is, you can walk by or the dogs can run by/over him and he doesn't budge. I'm always checking to make sure he's responsive. With how frightening it is for me, I can only imagine how frightful it is for you ♥♥♥
So understand, yes I am glad you 2 can rest over this now...

My sister had a diabetic cat. He associated the insulin with meals so much that if he saw a syringe he would start drooling uncontrollably.
