New with ???'s

So I went to a conference in June and the hotel said no smoking in room or balcony, $250 cleaning fee and ect. So I ordered a green smoke starter set to take with me. Worked well. When I got home I decided cigarettes tasted AWFUL! So I ordered a V2 set with blanks that I could refill. Now I have discovered I have to charge all the time and wish I had found this forum sooner. I am now wanting to place an order for a twist or spinner with EVOD clearomizers or the T3's.

My questions are what is the difference between the MT3/T3 and the MT3s/T3s? Also do the coils in these HAVE to be replaced every couple weeks? Just wanting to make sure I order extras if I am going to need them. Also do the coils have wicks or is that something else that I need to change often. And other than fast tech is there a specific vendor recommendation to order from?

Sorry for all the questions, but I have been reading alot here and the more I read the more confused I become LOL.

Thanks for any info/advice you give me.

I have one MT3, and many T3's, only difference I can tell is The T3 is completely clear, while the MT3 is kinda like metal with a little window, I prefer The T3 basically because it's easier to see inside it. You may be better off going with The T3S, it's a newer version, and can buy replacement coils for it as opposed to the entire base assembly when it needs replacing, it's less costly that way. Also If You decide to rebuild You coils the T3S would be a little easier

Kanger T3S Clearomizer first detailed look at Sun-Vapers.com

Coil life depends on too many variables to say how long one will last you, some juices will leave behind more residue on the coil than other. You can clean your coils, this should help prolong their life expectancy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Jq7s[/video550Njj
I know this is for the Protank

Yes Coils do need to be replaced. The coil is wrapped around the wick so if Your buying replacements it's all there ready to go just screw onto the tank. Before You go crazy buying replacements look into rebuilding them Yourself .here is just one (picked randomly) of many videos on rebuilding , do a search watch a few they are all pretty much the same but it's a good idea to watch a few

+ 1. Also, the T3S does not have the same leak issues that the T3 had. Because of the two piece base now, evods, T3's and Protanks have some interchangeability on heads/coils. It's not total because one combination, I remember, had too tight of a draw, as I recall. Great question by the way! Cigalikes didn't cut it for me either. Back in the day, we didn't have clearomizers, so we had to recharge every hour or two and drip between charges. Vaping was a full time job back then. Not now. A kit that is frequently recommended on the Forum is:

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm

Has exactly what you are looking for in a single kit. By the way, evod is a slightly better vape than the T3, imho, and the Protank is a good addition to the Topper Team, but a much airier draw. Happy shopping, welcome, Power Up and Vape On!

Considering the inconsistency, airy-nothing draw and hassles of many cleromizers, I would suggest you look at a tank cartomizer set-up, also. Much more consistent and less hassle than clearomizers. And since variable watt (VW) is closer to "set & forget" than VV, I would also consider a VW model PV such as the Vamo, Zmax or iTaste V3 Express Kit. You will also pay much less for the batteries and they will last 2 - 3 times longer, with the Vamo and Zmax.

Good Luck

MT3 is the metal version of the T3 (rather than clear), not sure what the S difference is tho.

Coils will start to taste funny or produce low amounts of vapour once the carbon builds up on them so yes they'll need replaced, and probably every week or two. The coil on them is a piece of wick wrapped in a few turns of wire, and then there's a loose "flavor wick" placed on top. The flav wick also helps to prevent the coil flooding. Replacing the head is all you need to do, as it comes completely built with the wick, wire and fkv wick in place.

The ones I have are genuine Kanger ones and I've not had any leaks. The fasttech ones might not be genuine so I don't know how they compare. Kanger do three similar devices - the evod, the T3, and the Protank. They are 1.6ml, 2.6ml and 3ml capacity respectively IIRC. They are all competent bottom coil burners. The protank has a very airy draw but can be tightened up by a bit of candle wax or similar.

lol, I own all of those clearos. The T3 and MT3 have recently been upgraded to T3S and MT3S. The difference is in the coil head assembly. T3S and MT3S have removable heads like the Evod and Protank, T3 and MT3 are one piece. The new style is much cheaper to buy replacement coils for (T3S and MT3S). T3 and T3S are poly carbonate tanks, MT3 and MT3S are metal tanks. Evods are a smaller clearo with a slightly tighter draw.

I'd recommend any of them for a user new to clearos.

Welcome! Aside from FT, I'd say take a look at Vapor Joe's listings, he's always got something good listed up there for great prices, and it will open your eyes to all the different vendors also. the T3/T3s are colored translucent plastic tanks, the "s" model has been upgraded to evod/protank style heating element. the MT3/MT3s look like the evod (same visual looks, just bigger than evod) but hold more ejuice. Again, the "s" style was upgraded to the evod/protank style element.

Currently I've got an evod (had a 2nd one, but that's another story), and I like it. Just rebuilt the coil today with 30awg kanthal A1 and 2mm ekowool... pretty easy, and vapes really well. If you are capable and technically inclined to try, have some simple tools (and MOST importantly, have done your reading/research!!!), rebuilding the cores once you have a stock of evod/protank cores to work on comes out much much cheaper.

Oh, and pay attention to everything written before this post... good stuff there from those folks!
