Have and use both (among other toppers), and I prefer the T3. (Same as MT3 but without the metal cover.)

Did you clean both before first use? Same juice? Same resistance coils? All that can make a difference.

The T3 may have a slightly lighter draw, and that can affect the vape, too. Maybe plug one of the holes in the base to tighten it up a bit?

I clean them out everytime it's time to fill up, I've just been getting an odd "burnt" taste to best describe it, but that is only if I don't wait a few min between vapes. The Evod I don't have to wait long at all. I do have the same ohm coils in both so I just don't get it. I loved the mt3s at first but then tried Evod and am no longer in love!

I have not experienced this issue.
Might be that it's not wicking the juice fast enough. You might try smaller wick and flavor wick diameter.
NOTE: Cotton butchers twine, ( used to hold meats and chickens tight) is what I use in my tanks. It resembles silica in the way it's twined, and can be separated to make smaller diameters. Continuos large vape clouds with both PG and VG juices.

Are you using a variable voltage battery? I recently got a vamo which will tell you what the resistance of your coils are, I was very surprised to find that the same Kanger clearos that were supposed to be the same resistance, would vary a fair bit. If you are using a variable voltage battery, try turning down the voltage on your MT3's.....just and idea :)

Yeah I was going to say that it sounds like a wicking issue... definitely have gotten the burnt taste from new heads.. wick didn't have enough soak time before that first hit, it always goes away in a bit. I'm a big fan of the EVODs, but I tend to use them for alternate flavors and keep my daily in my T3... my T3(s) are working infinitely better since I've retrofitted them with bases and heads for the T3s, they're flawless now, before that they were leaky gurgling messes.

I do have a variable voltage and have tried it even on the lowest setting

On the MT3 I know what you mean, the flavor get muted and becomes a little on the metallic tasting side. It's not a chain vapor's friend. Even the MT3s does it too. No matter the juice used, if the head is not allowed to cool down a lot between vapes it happens pretty quickly.

SO glad it's not just me! Metallic is a good description of the taste

You're not alone my friend. I HATE that taste. I try to like the MT3's, they're cheap and easy to clean and use. But yeah, I do chain vape so those heads just need a cool off a period that does not agree with my habit. No matter the Ohm's I use too. Same thing. Went with the Protanks and Davides and did not look back. But I still have some of those MT3's in my drawer.

I'm having no trouble with the Evod, but thinking about the mini protank as well. Yes I am a total chain vaper and mts just aren't for me

Evod's are great, but the mini-Protank or Mini-Davide is on another level. It does not have that airy draw the full size counterparts do. I have not had that issue of the metallic taste, but I do on occasion get the heat gurgle if I am outside in the summer heat too long. Seems like every head has it's quirk.
