Gosh, I went out earlier for a "few things" and encountered depleted stock in the place I wanted to "go" to and ended up driving out of the way to the grocery store, while encountering an accident, roadwork, and much craziness.... NEVER AGAIN. LOL. Good thing it wasn't later in the day.
NYEve plans: Fire in the fireplace, pizza probably, and apple cider to see the New Year in (if I make it). So, no, you aren't sad... New Year's is totally overrated in my opinion.
I used to "celebrate" the New Year by going somewhere and bewailing that I was older as I got drunker... I did meet a really interesting Hari Krishna dude one year that way, but I got sick of crying about the year before, and lack of partying certainly helped with that. LOL. If I was into video games I'd probably play some, and who knows, we might watch a movie?
I did invite the kid but he is behaving morosely and distressingly at the moment, and I have NO CLUE why. Now that he's a grownup, I couldn't exactly demand he tell me, but it was quite tempting as he was yelling at me yesterday about the order of events that were "required" in his little mind, while I was driving HIM because he currently has no LICENSE by his OWN errors. It took a lot not to smack him, and he may be pining over a chick or whatever, but either way, I'm fine with it. LOL, I really wasn't ever tempted to smack him as a kid, but as a young adult he can sometimes be a bit challenging...
