Im 28, sitting up playing civ 5 on pc and I may possibly buy mgs to see the new year in :(

Is anybody out there as sad as me?

Btw, I’ll be mixing up some more mtl juice and I might charge some dead 650s...
I may even build my phenomenon. Again.

Crazy times...

Happy New Years celebrations to you regardless:toast:

My 16-year old princess has a house full of jail bait arriving at 1830 hours.

I have eight pork tenderloins, a gallon of collard greens, a gallon of blackeyes, three lbs of candied yams, three pans of cornbread, two pecan pies and five gallons of sweet tea.

There will be no leftovers by the time the fireworks go off at midnight.

Gosh, I went out earlier for a "few things" and encountered depleted stock in the place I wanted to "go" to and ended up driving out of the way to the grocery store, while encountering an accident, roadwork, and much craziness.... NEVER AGAIN. LOL. Good thing it wasn't later in the day.

NYEve plans: Fire in the fireplace, pizza probably, and apple cider to see the New Year in (if I make it). So, no, you aren't sad... New Year's is totally overrated in my opinion.

I used to "celebrate" the New Year by going somewhere and bewailing that I was older as I got drunker... I did meet a really interesting Hari Krishna dude one year that way, but I got sick of crying about the year before, and lack of partying certainly helped with that. LOL. If I was into video games I'd probably play some, and who knows, we might watch a movie?

I did invite the kid but he is behaving morosely and distressingly at the moment, and I have NO CLUE why. Now that he's a grownup, I couldn't exactly demand he tell me, but it was quite tempting as he was yelling at me yesterday about the order of events that were "required" in his little mind, while I was driving HIM because he currently has no LICENSE by his OWN errors. It took a lot not to smack him, and he may be pining over a chick or whatever, but either way, I'm fine with it. LOL, I really wasn't ever tempted to smack him as a kid, but as a young adult he can sometimes be a bit challenging...

Going out for steak and lobster in early evening. Get home before amateurs hit the road. At midnight text all the kids Happy New Year. Each dog got a new ball too. Then I’ll read them a story.

Honestly even if I didn't have to work would probably not get out anyway. Hate the cold.
At the north end of the state at midnight it’s going to be -6 with a wind chill of -22. Any better in the south, lol?

No magic bullet here..Same day as before after the 'ball' drops. And it is too cold to go anywhere. 16 degrees now with the daylight/clouds. Drops when the sun goes down. Nope, not doing nuttin special except watching tv or a movie, that is my speed atm.

With the current temp of -4, which looks like our high for the day, not venturing outside for anything! Oh! Wait! I have to bundle up to get the trash to the curb. Yep, they are picking up in the morning!

Will enjoy some surf and turf for our NYE meal then maybe rent a movie since there is not a single bowl game on New Year's Eve! I miss the good old days!

I’m quite happy staying in tbh. I think I’ve used up at least 7-8 lives from previous nights out so why push it :D
