Quick update.

After you properly torch SS wire, depending on the SS wire type you are using, the resistance might go up a bit after making a coil. In my case, it went up by 0.02ohm (im using SS430). So make sure you use an Ohm meter to check for resistance, before you lock it in the mod.

Furthermore.
Dont torch 1-5 feet of wire at ones or you will have uneven colorization(sp) on the wire, a visual sign that the wire has been unevenly torched/heat treated. Torch enough wire to make a single coil, this will eliminate uneven spots during heat treatment. If its all not black, torch it again.

My personal suggestion. After you torch the wire, make a coil. Then torch the coil again until its fully black of any shade of black before mounting it on to a rta/rda.

Mount the coil, adjusted it or whatever you do to make it nice and pretty, then light it up nice and hot at 40-50w for 3 sec 3-4 times and check it for hot spots.

Now you can wick it.

p.p.s.

SS is not Kathal, forget everything you know about Kathal when working with SS.

Anyone else getting a buzzing sound in TC mode from ML when you hit the fire button?

Same sound is not present in Power mode.

Edit;
Just read the M class forum and i see that Buzzing is normal in TC mode.
It could be that your wattage is set too high for that build. Just give it enough to reach your temperature otherwise it will fluctuate to try and keep it stable producing more of a buzzing sound. But that is normal and some people hear it, and others don't. I believe it is due to frequency modulation to maintain the temp.

I have a odd thing going on with my ML. Every time I change the battery the memory is wiped clean and I have to reset my preferences. I think I may have to send mine in. :(
Yea i have never heard of that. I think the best bet would first to update your device. Then send it in

I never heard of it either. I'm running the latest update. I just now download my preferences through the SXi control panel and I'll watch it for a few days and see if that makes a difference.

For each mod power +, POwerful, standard, each has its own presets (M1 in soft could be set to 50 watts and M1 in standard could be 75 watts) on top of that is the configuration mode (C1-C5) where each of those has its own memory. I used C1 for wattage, C2 for TC with Ni200, C3 for stainless. Hope Ive been helpful

I've had that happen a couple times. Seems to only do it when I have to fiddle with the battery cap (applying power on and off) several times. Doesn't seem to do it if I get the cap lined up right away and just tighten it down. I'll be picking up one of the D-ring caps when they're available.

What do you mean by D-ring cap?

The first time it happened I did have to fiddle with the battery cap. The second time it happen I didn't have to fiddle with it. I'm not going to keep playing with it to try and reproduce it. I'll just keep an eye on it as I change batteries. Hopefully it won't happen again as I don't like having to reset everything every time. One thing I wish is YIHI would be like Provape where you don't have to turn it back on every time you change the batteries.

I'll definitely be getting the D-ring cap too when it comes out. :thumb:

Mine factory reset, all settings gone including the 'sensor' off setting. I thought it was odd that random settings showed up, when I went into the menu it would scroll then exit. I thought it was toast until I remembered to get it perfectly level and press buttons until I had the sensor off again.
Haven't noticed it when changing batteries though. Of course, I'm using my eVic-Mini primarily now that it got TCR. Keeping the M & ML in storage until the cheaper devices break.

Be fixed next update I'd expect.

I wonder if it's a software or hardware problem? Hopefully it's software and can be fixed with a update.

Hey everyone I have a m class that I bought only two months ago for 100 because I was getting fed up with my 3 DNA200's. I wasn't expecting to be as happy as I was and my wife wanted mine the more she saw it. Anyways last night a sale went up for 99$ for the ml class so I jumped on it so I could be happy and so could my wife. I was happy with the m class 2.32 firmware and don't need to much more then that as long as there weren't any great upgrades recently. Just wondering if you think it's worth doing the upgrade or not? I usually just use titanium alien claptons and titanium cat tracks so I don't know I just don't need to much more unless it's important to get it updated. Sorry if this is confusing lol. Very excited as it already shipped out. Thanks for the help.

Where did you order it for $99??

You should always update it, but M firmware won't work in ML.
