The accurate resistance ability won't help you with Kanthal A1 @2legsshrt. The problem with that wire is that it is stable resistance during heat changes unlike Nickel, Ti, NiFe, or even SS and others.

Sure I read a Yihi post on FB mentioning the use of gold, tungsten and a few others will now be possible

So our choice could be broadening again

Have you heard of IBV implants 2legsshrt? My mother had extreme COPD from decades of smoking but was borderline healthy enough to get into the trial and was lucky enough to be one to receive the implants. She passed mid last year but they added several years to her life and she was thankful for that time.
Actually my heart is the biggest problem. They replaced my aortic valve because of having a bicuspid valve and a murmur all my life the stenosis was bad enough that I needed it replaced. When they got in there he said the heart tissue was so badly calcified that he couldn't remove it all so had to sew the new valve to calcified tissue and I ended up with a worse leak then I had in the first place. It was a different type the one I had was from the valve not closing properly now I have what is called a parivalvular leak where the valve leaks from where it was attached. It has lasted 3 1/2 years so far but they don't know what they will do if it starts to fail worse then it is now. I get worse shortness of breath and my BP runs 120/40 with meds to keep the top number down. So I don't know where I stand with this one and they don't seem to know what they are going to do if something happens. I am going to get more questions answered when I go in for my next echo. I am going to try to pin him down on this if I need to go to a more advanced heart center or what. The one we have is pretty good but there are better. He said he wasn't worried about me doing to much excercise because I have prosthetic legs below the knee so who knows.:offtopic:

Jeeezus mate, hope they can fix you up
Yeah maybe YiHi can come out with something. I try to think of it as I have done a lot of things in my 66 years and I am still getting plenty of blood to my vital organs so who knows. The biggest problem I have is letting my wife do almost everything cause I can't. That really pisses me off at myself.

Hey QM you gonna start a new thread for the Q.

Jim started one but its been blitzed

Maybe best to start one when they start arriving and call it The Q class owners club or summit

Probably a good idea to start a thread after the Q pops... first thread got blitzed as some didn't like having a legitimate discussion on battery safety in 200 watt devices... second Q thread started but censored talk about battery safety... third thread started to talk about battery safety but the OP blitzed the thread...:)

Now maybe somebody can explain how you use the graphs. Also has anyone got the guts to change any of the LOGOS

The Q curves are just selecting the outputs levles where you want and adjustable every half second. If the Preset modes don't fit your build you could increase or decrease the power or joule level over whatever period of time you puff. I'm not really into the logo's but decided to make one just for U.:D

That was probably on a DNA right? I hope that the bug he encountered is fixed now.

No that was done on the ML using Paint and the SXI-Q software. As for the problem he encountered it's the only one I've heard of doing that so it's not like were seeing a trend so I'm not concerned. It looks like a 510 or output connection problem to me, maybe we'll find out in time.

You know we are all going to go crazy looking for deals and the early folks will pay full price in a pre-order when it is announced.

I don't even need the Q but I'm eagerly waiting for it. I'll probably pay full retail to be a early adopter. :D

I posted one joke in the battery thread and one guy with no sense of humor took it way too seriously and went nuts in that thread. I didn't anticipate that happening. I learned my lesson and not going to post any more jokes on ECF. :(

Quick question for anyone that knows. Trying to gauge battery life on the ML. Using different battery's, from samsungs to lg, but the voltage drop seems to be crazy! What is everyone's battery life on the ML, day at 45 watts on a .5 coil?

I get a day and half at 30W on a 1.2ohm coil.
