You lost me. Or maybe I wasn't clear enough. I downloaded the 2.203 version and installed it on my computer. When I went to upload the new file to my ML there was no new file. Only the old file SXmini_ML_Class_V2202_20160110-English.

Then you either didn't extract the new firmware file (think it was a .zip) or you didn't select the folder where that file resides.

Edit: There is no need in reinstalling the SXI-Q software if you previously had it as that's unchanged. You only need the SXmini_ML_Class_V2203_20160114_SX Pure-English.SXI firmware file to use to do the update.

So what do you think that file they have on there that includes the m and s class whats that all about.

If your asking about this "For M Class,S Class,SX350J,SX350 Mini,SX350 60W, SX350 100w -SXi Software" I believe that's the SXI software only for the various other SX350 series boards.

I discovered the problem. The install didn't put the SXmini_ML_Class_V2203_20160114_SX Pure-English into my SXi-Q folder. It left it in the zip file for some reason. I was able to update it this time. Hopefully it fixes the bug where it would lose settings when you changed the battery sometimes.

I put everything on external storage and extract and install from there. A problem with using the default folder location being in C:\Program Files (x86)\YiHiEcigar\SXi-Q the logged in user may not have sufficient permissions to write to that folder so just makes it easier for me to have everything stored elsewhere. On the settings I've not had that occur again but I have gotten better at putting the battery cap on so not fiddling with it nearly as much turning on / off the device. But I have made Config backups just in case it happens again. :)

Not sure exactly what your meaning is on automatically reverts. Maybe if you give a step by step on how your reproducing it we could try. But when I select a Configuration that's what's selected and not seeing anything automatically change.

I'm stuck with this option and it wont stay at 2-5, it reverts back to 1 on its own.

That's a good idea putting everything in external storage. Yes I have gotten better at putting the battery cap on too. So far I haven't had anymore problems with losing settings. knock on wood. :)

Without more clear information idk what to suggest other than to try the firmware update again or contact your vendor. The bold text from your comment says that it wont change 2-5 but then you say it reverts back (to revert back it must have changed) so it's really unclear to me exactly what your doing or how you come into the problem. Like I said earlier, I haven't noticed anything automatically changing when I choose Configuration 1-5 that's what I have. IDK how you've setup your device but here's basically how mine is. C1 - Ni200, C2 - Ti01, C3- SS304, C4 - Power, C5 - Manual TCR so I can see which ever Cx I have selected in front of the Joule counter with the exception of the C5 configuration as it displays the T - Manual TCR. More information on your configuration settings and step by step of how you come into the problem may help sort it out.

Try this:
Remove your cover just to make sure it's not inadvertently pressing one of the buttons.
Enter Menu with 5 clicks of the fire button
One more click of the fire button to get to "Configure Mode"
Hit Up/Down until "Configure 3" is diplayed.
Hit the fire button 4 times to get to "Coil Select"
Choose any of the coil types other than Manual TCR
Hit fire button two more times to Exit or hold it down for a few seconds.

Now what does the Cx in front of the Joule counter say?

No Windows 10 here but I know some have had problems with it. I've been unable to connect or do the update with device off or battery out on Windows 7. Device has had to have Link On enabled, SXI-Q software and Driver installed, then connected the device and was good to go.

Here's a link may help or maybe Hyperspace will tune in I think he had some Windows 10 install problem as well. I'm betting you haven't successfully installed the Driver.

Edit: You may try putting the device in Link On, Connect to pc, In the Programs under SXI-Q try running the SXI-DriverStartup and see if that picks it up.

Cheers @Vlad1

it does seem to be driver issue

Running the sxi driver software it cant find a dll

looking for MSVCR10D.dll but windows 10 appears to have MSVCR 120D.dll

Tried installing it even though requirements only list to windows 8

Still no joy
