Travel and Vaping New York City

Heading to NYC next week and was wondering what the laws are for smoking and e-smoking/vaping there?

There are no laws as such. Smoking itself is prohibited most everywhere it seems but nothing as to vaping unless individual establishment etc.

NJ bans them indoors, but I vape openly in New York state all the time, and no issues anywhere in Manhattan.
