Being a New York resident this is very interesting and I wonder how it will affect areas designated with signs PROHIBITING Smoking and Vaping? They have signs that specifically PROHIBIT Electronic Cigarettes with the NO Smoking. So will this now require new signs? Will it make the prohibition invalid? If a sign says NO E-Cigs I must assume it means no vaping.

Well if it only says NO SMOKING I will "assume" you can Vape but as I said while vaping in a restaurant recently I was politely told they do not allow it. I think I will do a search of the Web to find some documentation or formal ruling to print out and hand to someone who objects to my vaping.

Vaping in a restaurant is rude I feel. While the kitchens open and people are eating I don't vape. After hours bar, fine. Even then I try to exhale towards the floor or hold my vape a little longer to prevent a crazy cloud.

I'd rather not have someone's just exhaled cloud all over my food so I don't do it. Sure it's happening on an invisible level anyway but, visually being able to see it changes everything.

The reason I started vaping was the waiter slacked off on making sure everything was OK and attempts to try getting his attention were useless. We vape with Cig-A-Likes so no big cloud and sure enough that got attention and as I said a polite request that we stop as it was no permitted. When I told the employee that we were never asked about wanting and desert still had empty plated sitting the table so we wanted the check. The check came quick and we received an apology but were not pleased. So maybe it was a little rude but the sub-par service has made us decide we will not be returning. :offtopic:
