New York vapers have not had a great deal to smile about recently with the news that Mayor Michael Bloomberg plans to place restrictions and regulations upon e cig use in the city. Bloombergs plan to align electronic cigarettes with traditional tobacco products has been met with widespread disapproval amongst the citys vaping community.
However, the citys restaurant owners and top chefs have come out in support of electronic cigarettes when asked if they would allow vaping in their establishments. Although a few demonstrated a similar attitude to Bloomberg in viewing e cigs as a contemporary of tobacco cigarettes; the overwhelming majority are supportive of the vaping community.
