Well, anxiously awaited the arrival of my ZNA. Took it out of the box... wow this is nice! Solid feel.

BUT...

Tried screwing on an rda... only went down ~1/2 way. Got the check atomizer screen.... Then put on my Russian... same thing. Barely screws down, check atomizer screen...

I look at the 510 threading, and there is a burr about half way down, then after that, looks like a thread or two is missing. GRR!!!! How did this pass a simple QA?

Mailed ENS, hopefully i hear back soon. Bummed, heading out of town next week and was so looking forward to using this!

Another thing... although i cant fire it, i tried pushign the power up/down buttons.

Power down works well, subtle "click" and the device display shows the VW setting change. But the power up... i cant press it down, no matter how hard i try. I have to actually line up my fingernail edge to the button to push it down with my nail.

Man... QA looks like they were asleep when checking this device. I hope this can get addressed!!

It is sad when "Perfection" is the driving force of a product and it falls short.

Just spoke with Zen directly.

He said as far as the power up button... he said this is the expectation. He said the DNA itself comes with a much stiffer button for power up (both the 20 and 30) and he isnt sure, but Brandon from Evolv may have done this intentionally to prevent accidental power up. Thats a guess but its plausible.

As far as the 510 threading, he said they testfire twice with cartos before they leave, and he's never heard any other reports of this. He immediately said id get a new 510 cap to address it. So thats very cool.

This is worth waiting for at least the asthetics. Its incredibly cool looking, cool feeling in the hand. Small but hefty. That 510 cap cant get here fast enough!!! :)

Just got mine today. As soon as I screw on any atty, it starts firing. Not sure how this passed QC if they are actually test firing before they leave the shop. I'm sure they (ENS or HOH) will make it right, just a little disappointing to spend that much money, play the F5 game, and have it not work out of the box.

Any fix for this that I can do before having to send it back?

For now the ZNA is the only device I have so I haven't called to send it in to get fixed. I have 3 issues with mine. The screen left and right doesn't switch, it stays on left. It also doesn't go to stealth mode. The threading at the area where my steam monkey meet the ZNA is messed up. It looks like it was dropped or hit. I don't ever need to take off the tube or switch to stealth but I would like to have the screen facing the other direction. BTW I love the button and device.

One thing thats a little hard to get used to is the fire button. There is no click or tactile feedback, its a very soft press. Do others that have a ZNA see the same?

Yes, I'm not 100% sure I like the fire button. It feels a little too soft. The slightest touch and it fires. No click, no play whatsoever.

But, apart from that, heck, including that, I love the thing!

For the screen left and right, I was getting used to this last night. Just hole fire and power up...after five seconds it will say "left mode". KEEP THE BUTTONS PRESSED DOWN for a few more secs. It will flip the display.

Got mine today. :3 This thing is a beast! Weighty, well machined, threads are smooh as butter... And it might be the original run of buttons from Evolvapor for everyone else, or personal sensitivity on my part, but I have a solid, tactile 'blip' and a mild click if it's held closer than ~16 inches to the ear... But then, mine's #397, so they might've worked out some bugs that were in earlier runs by now...

At any rate, keep on vaping, everyone! :vapor:
