Hi, this is my first post here, I quit smoking ten years ago, but recently started dating a smoker which has caused me to want to smoke again. After having bummed a cigarette a handful of times, I realized that I was slowly heading back to cigarettes.
I started with Blu, which though the flavors are so-so, the throat hit was satisfying and I still use it as a backup and for extreme portability.
Then I went to a vaping pen from a local vape shop, but I was missing the throat hit.
I jumped the gun and bought a 75w Sieglei TC mod with a Herkules tank but it would hit me like a truck and even with 2mg nicotine and much fiddling with the wattage and temperature, I was coughing all the time even when I wasn't vaping.
So I backed off and bought a Halo Triton and some Halo juice, and now I am exactly where I need to be at this moment!
So I am looking forward to learning more about vaping, I have been doing it for about two months or so and I will never go back to bumming cigarettes!

Hello and welcome to ECF! Glad to hear that you found your sweet spot for the moment. It can be tough to do for a lot of people, a lot of experimenting and buying of stuff to get it right. The way I always have looked at it though is if I spend lets say $100 to try a new mod or setup, I only have to make it work for about 10-14 days to make it a wash on what I would have spent on smokes in that time.
Anyway, glad you found your way here, lots to learn and lots to read to keep you busy!

Hi! I just got on the vaping train, I'd been a smoker for 14 years (B&H menthol) and so far I'm completely off cigs for 12 days. I'm still searching for my daily vape liquid. I am currently trying everything from Halo. I have limited options here in Mexico but any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

@darkangel07760 -

Welcome to the ECF and to the experience of vaping! I started vaping in Nov. 2013, had my last cigarette in Jan. 2014, and have used & am still using a variety of different vaping supplies.

Started with a JoyeTech 510 kit, with cartridges and little atomizers so it would be more like my old ciggies size. Also used the little atomizers and no cartridges to drip, when I wanted a more real true flavor taste. Still with the slim, pen-like 510 batteries I then also started using Vision Nano clearomizers to hold more e-liquid than cartridges in May of 2014. Added 1100 mAh eGo-T batteries in June 2014, so I could vape longer without having to recharge batteries so frequently. Also bought some CE5 clearomizers to use with them in addition to my nanos. About 2 months ago, a friend gave me an Innokin iTaste MVP 2.0 Shine mod, which I use mainly with iClear 16D BDC clearomizers.

Reason for mentioning all of that above is - I still DO use all of it, just at different times or for different reasons. The little 510 JoyeTech batteries and my Vision Nanos are still great for totally stealth vaping, or at a gathering where I don't want to be so obvious with the MVP...around others who don't smoke nor vape. The Ego-T batteries and clearos are great while mowing my horse pastures, doing jobs around the house, at get-togethers with fellow vapers, etc. The MVP I love while driving, sitting at my PC for awhile, or just relaxing at home.

So, you'll probably no doubt also go through several different set-ups before you find your real preference. Or, you may end up like me and still use a variety of them at different times. Finding whatever works for you personally...seems to be a main key to staying a vaper and never going back to smokes for many people. I hope it works for you as well.
