I currently use a GreenSmoke ecig. I have some higher end stuff on order as well as some assorted juices from various venders, which should all be here by the end of the week...

While I enjoy (to an extent), the GS for it's convenience, I believe it will not hinder my cravings once I get started on my upcoming ProVari. I don't believe this is gonna be a rig I want to be carrying around at work or to the occasional night out at the bar. After doing some research, I think an eGo-T is going to fill my needs as far as those situations are concerned. To all of you T owners out there, are there any tips/tricks/surprises you'd like to key me into.

I'm not looking for a debate, I'm looking for opinions/experiences from people that currently use the aforementioned eGo-T. A or B type? and why. C'mon, throw it out there so I know what I'm getting into.

Thanx in advance,
Rich

Personally I hate the ego tanks and atties, I had a few of each and I found them to be way to finicky. There is a learning curve to get them to wick, they might work for a bit, then they are leaking, then dry....etc. Did you say you were looking to the ego t as your on the town pv?

In my opinion I wouldn't want to have to fuss with all that the ego-t brought me while out with friends. I find that something like the volt, maxx fusion, etc. easy carto system is the way to go. ( I am a mod guy all the way though) They give good performance and you wont be trying to get your juice to wick, or have it leaking on you. Really if your set on the ego just go boge lr or smoketek xl lr. That is just me though' geuss I had to throw my two pennies around here sometime before I fell asleep. Good luck

WELCOME TO THE ECF

You've made a great move with getting more than one pv. It's gonna save you some hassle in the future. As for you questions...

If your really interested in the ego-t than you should go for the type B model. It's an improvement over type A in terms of flavor, vapor, and TH. I would go with some LR atties as well. This will give you a slightly warmer vape. It fits 2ml in the tank compared to the 1ml that the Type A does. Also, the shape is different as well. The type A is more tapered while the Type B is cylinder shaped. Both have the 5 click shutoff feature.

Problems that people usually complain about is a lack of flavor, burnt taste, and leaking issues. Which is attributed to various aspects such as juice that's being used in it. Which the ego-t usually does well with higher PG juices that aren't as dark. So, something like a 80/20 mix would be perfect. Raising and lowering the wick can eliminate the burnt flavor due to slow wicking issues. Here's a video to clean and adjusting the wick:

Leaking can be stopped or avoided with numerous methods. Taking a lighter draw to avoid juice from coming through the mouth piece. Making sure you put the tank on there correctly. Piercing the tank correctly. Rather than typing a book about this. All you would need to know is found here:

Here's where I bought mine:

I haven't tried green smoke, but I do do have a small volt and I can say that it satisfies me enough. My Regular vape is a Silver Bullet with a lr306 and IMR batt and this set up is a fog machine with AV ejuice. The cartos and batts on the next gen small units are matched well and perform surprisingly well. I have read that GS hasn't updated yet, but it is hard to tell fact from fiction in the vaping universe.

I'm not crazy about the eGo tanks. Mine leaked all over the place and seemed to be very inconsistent. Some people love and swear by them. I will say that when I've messed with it and everything is situated just right, I can get a monster, super-satisfying vape hit. However, it never happens more than once or twice in a row before I have to tinker with it again. I finally gave up after I ran out of Kleenex wiping up spilled and leaked juice. Looks like there are some good tips from washvap up there on how to avoid these problems.

Good luck in your search!

The Joye brand (the original) Ego-T has the batteries with the handy 5-click on/off. That's nice.

I don't know about the the A or B except I THINK only the B can take the large tanks.

If you get an Ego-T. also get a normal 510 atty and 510 drip tip for testing juices (and if you get a plastic or delrin dip tip you can also use it as a mouthpiece on standard cartos). And but some Boge standard resistance cartos to learn filling blanks and keeping them damp, and the hotter LR 2.0 ones to try after that. Boge are the most popular cartos for 510 threaded devices. I recommend trying them before trying anything harder or more exotic. More people use cartomizers than tanks. So you will be covered with all of that stuff.

I did pick up an eGo-T type A. Only a few days in and no issues yet. No leaking, consistent vape. I did take Dormouse's advice and grab some reg 510 attys to test with. The 650 mah batteries are being good to me, but I shut them off before I put it in my pocket. One battery made it through a double shift with no signs of fatigue.

I think this will suit me well for work and being out and about. The ProVari/Liquinator is just a little big for that. Besides all the crazy looks.

Thanks for all the input.

The T does require a way longer drawl than my ProVari but I vape most juices on it at a higher voltage. I tried an LR atty on the eGo but started getting that burnt taste. Switched back to a standard resistance and haven't had an issue. I like the flavors at higher voltage but the eGo is a lot more work friendly for me right now. I have been taking the ProVari when I go to friend's houses and all but the size of it with the tank is just a little cumbersome for work.

I've been vaping a month and a half, starting with an ego. I tried several things, but the ego T type A tanks were one of my favorites. Now, though, I've switched to EMDCC's, which are very large cartomizers.

I didn't have leak problems with my type A tanks. I never tried the type B's. I was planning to get some, but the EMDCC's are doing a good job.

One thing, you mention getting a provari. Once you do that, you'll likely get used to vaping at higher voltages, and you may not be happy with an ego. I'm planning to get a Buzz Pro vv mod, and I'm not sure I'll be happy with my ego after I get it. I'd *like* to do what you are talking about - use the good mod at home or friends, and the ego when I go out to a bar or something. But I'm not sure I'll be happy with the ego once I have a better mod. Long term, I expect to have two "good" mods, so I can take one with me and still have a backup if something happens to that one. Once I have two "good" mods, I expect to give the ego's away to a smoking friend and try to convert them.
