How's it going ECF,

I've got yet another newb question about my eVic.

The equipment I have attached to my eVic are a 6ml DCT tank, and I'm testing out 510 LR/SR cartomizers (trying to debate which one I like better).

I'm currently toying with the MVR VW settings as well, and I'm stuck on what I should set it at. Right now, I currently have it at 11W (.5s) -> 8.5W (3.5s) -> 8W (.5s) -> 7.5W (.5s) -> 7W (.5s) -> etc. Is this a good setup for an eVic with the equipment I'm currently using? Keep in mind (again) that I'm switching between both a 510 LR/SR cartomizer.

The things I'm noticing right now about my eVic are that the temperature is increasing. While I've been testing the VW setting it's currently at, each hit I take, I check the temperature. I've noticed it increases at least 1-2 degrees fahrenheit each hit I take. Is this normal?

I'm also curious on what temperature it's safe to put the eVic at without burning out the cartomizers, battery, etc.

So I guess my two main questions are these, 1) What's a good MVR VW setting to set the eVic at to get the most flavor, throat hit, and vapor production without burning out the cartomizer, wasting e-juice, getting a burnt taste, or just harming the eVic in general. 2) What's a safe "max" temperature to set your eVic out, with again, not harming the device?

Thanks for all your help guys!

Mark

Swap out the stock batteries and use AW IMR 18560 batteries. The heat is primarily a battery issue.

As above.

Ah okay, are there any local electronic stores that sell those kinds of batteries? I'm really not looking to wait for another package. If not, where's a good website to buy the battery at? And would you recommend getting a 2600 mah battery still?

EDIT: & any idea on what to set the MVR VW settings at? Or did the ones I listed look pretty legit?

An IMR battery will have no where near 2600mAh. The biggest high-drain you can get for a VV/VW mod is the Panasonic Hybrid batteries that are floating around on different sites like here- 18650 Hybrid 2250mah 3.7v IMR Battery

For most cartomizers a setting of between 7 and 9 watts is usually the sweet spot.

Low Resist vs Standard Resist really won't make a big difference on a VW mod like an eVic, just get whatever cartomizer works best for your vaping style to shove in your tank.

Boge- Denser fill, less prone to flooding, more prone to drying out. -Better for people who like to take slow puffs
Smok- Looser fill, more prone to flooding, less prone to drying out. -Better for chain vaping

@Satava, Thanks for such a detailed reply.

Will the link to the battery you posted work with an eVic? It may sound like a stupid question, but I just want to make sure it'll fit in the eVic's original battery holder.

For the settings of the MVR VW, do you have any recommendations to set it at? I'm not sure what would give me the best taste and throat hit.

Thanks for the info on the cartomizers, that really helped.

Google "AW IMR 18650" batteries -- get the 2000 mAh ones ... they'll fit your battery holder.

I haven't used the MVR yet, so others could probably tell you better.

@Hello World, Thanks for the info. I just purchased a battery, however it was the one @Satava had recommended. While I was reading the reviews, people had said it fit - hopefully I experience the same thing. If I don't, then... well, I wish I would've checked back earlier, lol.

Anyways, still need help with the MVR VW software! If anybody has any recommendations on how to set it, please do tell!

If it's the same size as the one I mentioned, you'll be OK. The eVic cannot go above 3 amps anyways.
