smoking for over 30years, and lately smoking over 2 large packs/day. here in ontario canada prices of smokes keeps getting more expensive, hence the reason for wanting to quit, but i still like to smoke.

a year ago i tried the nv ecigs from costco, did not work as they have no nic and poor vape
got the mvp2 2 days ago, 2 days now only had 2 or 3 analogues only because i bought menthanol juice(18mg nic) and it didnt go w/my morning coffee, bought some tobacco flav juice and all is good now, i hope, i would of bought 24mg nic but they didnt have any but i think it would of been better for me as a heavy smoker as i did have a slight craving for cigs.

so for those sitting on the fence, just try it, imho dont start off w/those e-cigs you get from variety stores unless you r a light smoker,
buy the right hardware and juice w/the appropiate amount of nic content, initial cost would be the same and/or cheaper than 1 cartoon of cigs.

i cant believe its working for me as i really love to smoke and didnt give a damn about the health issues, it was all about the money.

Welcome to ECF and to the lovely world of vaping :)
And that is some really good advice to give to new vapers! You have hit the nail right on the head.

He he he :D You will notice that your health will improve, as well as your pocketbook.
I never wanted to stop smoking. Not once. Not ever. It just happened, as soon as I started up my 1st PV. :)
With vaping, you can have everything that you had with smoking. Minus the smoke as such, and minus the ridiculously high expense.

This is great to hear, and I certainly agree with avoiding the cheap disposables - it's definitely worth it. :)
i agree, but if heavy user like myself and they dont have nic it might put off a potential quitter
After quitting and using my mod/dripper for a while I've gotten to the point where I don't get any enjoyment out of cigs. Just stick with the ecig and you'll quit analogues in no time. Welcome to the vaping community!
if user buys right juice and nic content its seems pretty easy, i really cant believe its working especially being put off w/those nv's

Congratulations and welcome from another newb, vincom.
I also started with low nic juices, but had to go up to 24mg to help get rid of the cravings. My wife
bought me a Mistic kit from walmart and that got me on the road, so I guess I can't say too
many bad things about the cig-a-likes.
do mistic's have nic.
ur from the states, here in canada its different story, small amount of variety stores and costco carry your typical "e-cigs" like the nv's, but none of them afaik dont contain nic, we have to find a brick and mortar to see what vaping is all about and there are few and far between them here in canada in the toronto area, but they are slowly poping up

I hope this inspires you. My hubby smoked 55 years, I smoked 45 years. Bought us a disposable cig a like from the smoke shop. We never smoked again! I then switched to another cig a like called "greensmoke" which are rechargeable. I was then given an ego battery and ce4 tank...life was better. All of this was at 24 nic so there would be no cravings. Now hubby and I have upgraded to our first mod. We each have a SID and use protank 2 tanks. It doesn't matter what equipment you quit on...just so you quit. That was 18 months ago....no cravings. Most of us stopped on cig a likes, then started upgrading. Hubby is now down to 18 and I do both 18 and 24 nic. Also, i chain vaped like a fiend. Make sure to drink lots of water...vaping will dehydrate you.

Also, buying online is cheapest way to go. What gear are you currently using?
the mvp2 kit, 18 nic juice strong tobacco flv called texan by nyxecig.
i didnt want to buy online being a newb to vape, also in canada shipping is not cheap, but i found a few vape shops sort of close to me where i can test different juices and see the different hw first hand.
my first upgrade would be a better tank than the stock plastic one from innokin

Welcome. I was just like you. I enjoyed smoking but the price of cigs were just too high. I smoked for 53 years, a pack a day. Been vaping for 8 weeks now and I am down to one cig in the morning. But I am proud of the other 19 that I don't smoke. I am sure you will enjoy vaping as much or more than smoking as time goes by. Good luck and happy vaping. :)

Life long smoker, two packs a day, rolling my own non filters the last couple of years and 18mg worked just fine for me. I found that with my oral fixation of always wanting to have the vape in my mouth that 24mg made me sick because I vaped so often. Dropped immediately to 18mg and all was well.

Your in the right place. You never have to smoke another cigarette again!
