So i got a eGo-c Twist battery (3.2-4.8v), 2.5ohm coils on my Protank mini v2. (I also have the mt3 tank but i like the protank v2 better). I've tried the same flavor from both tanks and i feel the t3's give me a stronger throat-hit with the same flavor. Though this could be because my t3 has a 2.2ohm coil. My main issue is that I've not been enjoying the throat hit and i feel that even on 4.8v i don't get enough smoke (I can't manage to take the smoke down to my lungs in huge quantities with anything higher than 4v either because the hit gets too much). I've seen 30pg/70vg mixes and 100% pure vg mixes and read that PG is what causes the throat hit, while VG increases Vape.

Someone said on a post i made about e-juices that Clearomizers can't handle vg and that it needs more pg? Is this true? Can my protank 2 mini 2.5ohm coils with 4-4.8v being used manage to burn 30pg/70vg or 100% vg mixes easily? Also, how much of a contribution does the nicotine level make? I'm getting a harsh throat-hit that's making me regret vaping at 6mg of nicotine, I'm planning to get 6mg of menthol or something and mixing it 1/5 1/4 etc with 0mg flavors to get to a comfortable level (Since i vape a lot, but I'm used to smoking a pack a month.

100% Vg works fine in a protank !.

For me, the courseness of pg disguises the texture of the nicotine. 100% vg is a much smoother vape which enables the texture of the nicotine to become noticeable. It’s as if my brain needs that recognition for it to be satisfying.

Though pg does give a throat hit doesn't mean vg doesn't. When it comes to vg really what's needed is high-ish nicotine 24mg or 36. Some people are satisfied with even lower. Flavour makes a difference with vg when it comes to throat hit too. It's just that plenty of people prefer pg because, they say, it provides more flavour. All i ever use is vg, and to be honest, i cannot really see any difference between the flavour from vg and pg. I don't know what people expect i really don't. I mean, if i were to eat a banana then i don't expect to be packed with flavour at all, i just expect it to taste like a banana, and even real bananas don't exactly have a flavour explosion do they !. Or, peanut butter, eat some peanut butter, it's pretty bland really, and the peanut butter vg e liquid i use tastes exactly the same to me. It's the same with all the vg e liquids i've tried. They all work fine in a Protank !. What i am disappointed about is that they don't really work at all well in my genesis atomizer, meaning i don't really get that "kick", i mean the throat hit with it.

So if you're not getting enough vapour and the pg is too harsh, give some vg a go. But with no nicotine you won't get much of a throat hit at all.

I'm here, when I'm here

All my buddy uses is 100% VG. Depending on the flavor (don't know why) he'll take a flavor wick or 2 out and has A LOT of vapor and flavor with his mini pro.

Can my protank 2 mini 2.5ohm coils with 4-4.8v being used manage to burn 30pg/70vg or 100% vg mixes easily?

When I say he gets a lot of vapor, he doesn't go over 3.9v with his mini on a itaste v3.

That's about all I can help you with. Good luck on the rest. :vapor:

I'm a 100% VG vaper and also use a mini PT in my rotation. PG gives me a headache after a while. They use PG to carry the flavor in the juice so I always order with extra flavor. Throat hit is usually determined by nic level and ohm rating. VG is thicker than PG so it tends to gunk up coils faster than PG, so it just means extra cleaning and nothing more. Any tank/clearo can handle VG. Hope thats helpful! GL!

Alright, all of this is helpful, Just got a question about the coils being needed to be cleaned more often. How do i clean it out? and how often? I thought that the coils need to be changed every 500-600 puffs or until you feel a burned taste in your flavor. So far I've swapped it out once to increase from 1.8 to 2.5ohm's because it was overheating when i'd smoke too much and i thought the coil could be the problem.
