Newb Question Guys: How Do you fill the Ikenvape V2 DD Cartos?

I didn't mind the taste on the Map tank but I just got tired of tank after tank of juice leaking out on my nightstand. I used to do that Bovinia but now if I overfill I just squeeze my bottle then stick it in the carto and unsqueze it sucking the excess back into the bottle. I'm a cheap guy.

Harbor freights is where I got my helping hands. Couldn't build Mods without it or solder anything almost.

hey so if I wanted to vape all VG juice, I would have to go back to my tank atty or any 510 atty? Other than direct drip how/ with what do you fill the 510 attys? A cartridge similar to the tank cartridge?

I don't use atties other than to test taste my home brews so I can't really give advice there. I just drip when I test flavors. With all VG, dripping might be the best way since it has a harder time wicking...because of it's viscosity.

And you are dripping into the 510 atty through the Direct Drip Tip? Seems easy enough, otherwise I'd have to get a blank cartridge and filler, right?

I've put quiet a few miles on cartos and atties...The drip tip 510s are not the best choice for the Buzz or Infinity IMO...I filled one the other night and had problems on both the Infinity and Buzz...I blamed it on too low of a resistance in the carto for the Infinity and a possible bad adapter on the Buzz...I screwed it back on the Infinity and everything acted normal...sizzling though a bit weird sounding....just minimum vapor was produced...I just put the adapter on and it's fine....Now I just got those cartos a month or so back and haven't been able too get any performance out of them...They may be getting ready too take a little trip...OK I just removed a Boge 510 and put the drip tip in it's place...Instant red light from the Buzz...That is 2 out of 2 from the first box that don't work.....I'm using a Boge 510 and Mega 808 at the moment....The drip tips don't have condoms and the condoms I had didn't fit.....The condom fill then drip too top off is the easiest method I've found. So far the experience from the drip tips has not been very good....

There is a video on cignot that tells how to fill a 510 cartridge to use on the 510 atty.
I do great on the buzz with the DT 510. I rotate between the 510 DT, the Fusion (my favorite), and the Mega 808. I got like 20 boxes of the boge 510s I got just before I started with Ikens. If I ever run out I got them for backup. But it's not lookin like I'm going to be running out anytime soon. They last so long. I've been using a 2.0 Ohm 901 carto for the last few days.

How much are they? Their website operates a little different.. And I guess you have to wait weeks for them to arrive?
If I ever run out I got them for backup. But it's not lookin like I'm going to be running out anytime soon. They last so long.

Alex, when I drip with an atty I just put the atty on with no cart, drip about 5 drops in, pop a drip tip on and hit it. I don't like using them all the time because I tend to flood them and I don't like the fuss of dripping a few drops every time I want a hit. I'm a carto girl thru and thru.

I don't use 100% VG juice, but you can thin VG with distilled water to thin it if needed. Maybe a couple of drops per 5ml of juice? Or Everclear if you don't mind the extra throat hit. I'm an odd one who hates a hard throat hit lol. I make most of my own juice and my mix is 70PG/30VG. I have tried 100% VG juice and had no problems with it in the Boge cartos I use. I don't use the Golds you have but I have heard they don't wick the thick juice very well.

Are you using 100% VG for a reason? I know some folks are sensitive to PG but if you aren't, PG carries flavor much better, and wicks fast enough to keep your carto from burning.

I'm def not allergic to PG, I just got a lot of Boba's Bounty that is 100%VG, and some others that 60% or 70%VG, that's all.
I heard when you thin VG juice it loses taste. ... I'll just use a 510 atty direct dripping for VG juice..

Yea if you thin any juice more than a couple of drops per 5ml or so your thinning the flavor too. And I understand all your flavors! Gotta try everything...been there

IkenVape makes the 801 Fusion, Mega 808 and the Drip Tip 510s..

Best not too thin the premixed juice...and as Bovina said some cartos work with 100VG some don't..
100% VG tends too leave a film in my mouth after a few days....I mix my own and usually go 20/30% VG for the vapor...

Direct dripping while a bit more hassle will provide the best flavor attainable...I got some Joye 510s that I haven't run yet and my trusty IkenVape HV901...It RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, virtually all his attys are of the LR or HV persuasion—not my choice with VV.

FYI: his 510 Gold V2s without the drip tip are in stock @ $1.95 each (well, 90 of them are. There were 185 of them about an hour ago).

When I first filled the carto, I only used 4-5 drops, screwed it on, pressed the battery and immidiately smelled something burnt...Could I have fried smth inside the carto!?

Make sure you get them full and let soak before you fire them the first time.
It shouldn't kill the carto, but it might give a burnt taste that you never get rid of.
