Hi All,
So I have done my fair share of recoiling, but I am new to mechanical mods (looking for my own permanent solution with no electronics as I am apocalyptic about the FDA's "Final Solution").
So here is what I started with (I'm sure I'll evolve it several times before I'm satisfied).
Ohm Meter (not even really into subohming, just wanna be safe).
Regulated charger.
Two legit Sony VTC4 30A 18650.
So that's the basics.
mod: Tesla Steampunk, because it is well, just so cool.
RTA: "kayfun" V3.0. They are discontinued so I had to go with a Chinese knockoff :-( but I wanted to start with something that has a lotta history and beginner friendly).
It's still in customs, arghh. But I have everything else and now a question.
Last night just for kicks and giggles, I dug up an old 510 thread carto and gave it a whirl. Of course there was no draw because no air holes in the carto, no problem. I just wanted to hear it fire and it did.
BUT... the OD of the battery is a little light, and if the firing pin is not depressed you can hear it slide and knock back and forth.
Is this typical? Do people usually just wrap some tape around the battery to snug it up in the mod shell?
Any additional critiques, and non-discontinued RTA's recommends that are easy to coil are welcome too.
Thanks,
Robert
