hello everyone

well much to my relief, I've made something I want to vape! been using store made liquids for 3 months before deciding to go DIY. I think im pretty easy to please, I like bakery/rum/nutty flavors. have found plenty out there that I like.

so my first time doing this... I am surprised how thick VG is, and finding it somewhat difficult to mix. I stirred and stirred and stirred some more, and went to transfer it from my 100ml graduated cylinder into 2 60ml bottles... by the time I got halfway down the 2nd bottle, it was obviously mostly VG. I dumped both bottles back into the grad cyl, and stirred some more. then poured a little into the 1st bottle, a little into the 2nd... and so on... anyone got any pointers?

the first flavor I tried was TFA root beer, and boy was it perfumey. blech. today I tried peanut butter, butterscotch, and Jamaican rum, and I like, like, like. so yay! success.

I am doing this the LAZY way so far, big surprise from a newb huh? I have 24mg PG nic base, mixing it 50/50 with VG. so I have a 12mg 50/50 mix. then for my 3ml test batches, im doing 2.7ml of mix, to .3ml flavor, for a 10% flavor. sound ok? I know my resulting nic will be lower than 12mg, but im fine with that, and fine too that my mix will also not be exactly 50/50.

I figure as long as im >9mg nic, and between 60/40 - 40/60 PG/VG, I really don't care. I will probably be stepping down the nic to 6ish soon anyway, and am even curious to try 0nic.

well im at least glad to have made something im enjoying... I got a whole box full of store bought liquids and here I am vaping my own, and enjoying it just as much. I do see it's all about the flavors, and I plan to buy some of my favorite flavors from my favorite vendor, they sell the flavoring as well as the pre-mixed ejuice.

there must be a huge new wave of DIY newbs right now, with all the FDA scare going on... people wanting to stock up for the apocalypse... I know that's me, and also wanting to be as cheap as possible =P I've got 2.5 years worth of nic if I stay at 12mg, even more if I drop to 6! I reckon I might spend $100 more over the next year on new flavorings, but that's about it. so you can see where im at in my sig, im heading into save money mode now!

thanks for reading, happy vaping!

Im new at DIY myself. Infact, so new, Im waiting for my flavors in the mail. Ive ordered about 20 flavors from TFA. My Nic arrived from Myfreedomsmokes. Still waiting for My Order from Wizard. I hope it all goes well. Glad your happy so far.

Question to anyone..... How long wil the Nic juice last ? I would assume we are to keep flavors and Nic in the fridge for longevity ?

Mixes, NIC, PG, VG and flavors will last about a year sitting in a dark cool location. NIC, VG and PG will last 5 or more years if frozen. Never freeze flavor concentrates.

I guess if we are going on a year with the flavors, we can either have a vape mixing party or bake a bunk of cakes and candies with it..:D

yep use your flavors in whip cream, cake batter, ice cream, jello, pudding, yogert, morning cup of coffee etc...
