I'm used to more proper forums such as this, so I understand the "search first, ask later" rule. So let's get this started.

I'm 19 (young, I know) and I've been smoking cigarettes for a few years now. I've decided that I need to find an alternative to keep me from dying much like my grandparents because of my addiction to death sticks (or analogs, as I've seen you guys call them). So far, I've realized the disposables aren't going to help me save cash. I found that out after I paid $11 for a disposable Blu earlier this evening. So far, besides the taste, it's keeping me happy and I enjoy being able to stay inside, especially since it's fairly cold now. I'm going to throw these three kits out there and let me know what you guys think. Also, I still need to look into the difference of atomizers and cartomizers(?) as well. Thanks for any help in advance guys, looking forward to getting my lungs back up to living standards

Welcome aboard , teggy! Congrats on making the decision for a healthier alternative early in your addiction. I wish I was able to find something to work for me at 19... instead of... well, numbers aren't that important, are they??? ;)

That yeti kit only has one battery. You will need 2 so you can use one while the other charges. I don't know anything about the brand.

Volt standard kit- great kit great price, great product. The Volt is by far the most recommended cig a like here. I have these, use them frequently, and love them.

Volt basic kit- I would avoid for the same reason as the yeti- 2 batteries are a must, minimum.

I also advise upgrading to the 78mm battery. They are only $1 more per batt, and will greatly increase how long it lasts between charges.

If you are away from a power source for long periods of time, you may want to consider the kit with the pcc case to charge on the go. Each of those batteries will last an average of 3 hours for the average vaper, and you will want to get the first one charging while you are using the second one. As for what else to hook to the top of it- I say don't make your head spin too fast just yet. Try out the cartos first, then explore the other options.

Make sure that you get some juice to refill the cartos. Those prefilled ones won't last too long.

Hey, I'm new to the community too. Been using my first MOD for 9 days now and I decided to post a quick and succinct video... A Guide To "Vaping" - YouTube Hopefully it helps!

succinct adj. , -er , -est . Characterized by clear, precise expression in few words; concise and terse: a succinct reply; a succinct style

You'll get there one day.
Keep on vaping.

only vaping for a month but I have figured out the hard way that the EGO is what I should have bought in the first place. I have a 510 starter kit collecting dust at the moment.

look on several sites for CE4 starter kits with two batteries and then look for coupon codes for that site. (very well worth the effort) also if you spend a large amount of time at your computer I highly suggest the VV usb pass thru (it has no battery and is just an alt power supply) saves your batteries for mobile use. this may even allow you to buy a single battery kit to save more money at first.

it seems that the longer you do this thing the more stuff you want to but...LOL but this site is awesome for research and opinions.

I got someone the Volt Pro Kit as a gift. The pro kit includes a charging case. It was so cool I ordered myself one and have been loving it. I got 2 78mm batteries and they actually last me longer than people have been saying. At least 5 hours of constant vaping with no problem. I chose the mega charging case because it will hold 2 78mm batteries and 3 cartos (more cartos if you have shorter batteries.) I like the convenience of the cartos, and they are super easy to refill, but I just ordered some clearomizers to give them a shot for the potential benefits of greater capacity and cleaner taste. Coupon code merryvolt gets me 20% off an order right now. I am new as well, but you definitely came to the right place. Many will suggest larger batteries and larger tanks etc. I can't speak to that yet as I am still early on in my vape lifecycle and won't pretend to know more than I do. I can just tell you what draws me to the volt: solid battery life for its small size, not bulky whatsoever, convenient carrying case that charges batteries many many times, unbeatable customer service from SI, reasonable price to quality compared to what's available at the pharmacy, not complicated to get into, and finally if I graduate up to a fancier model I will still have the ultra portable and convenient volts around as a backup/on the go model. Anyways, good luck and happy vaping my friend. Oh, and one piece of advice I have picked up early on, don't commit to a big bottle of juice until you know you will like it. Even if it costs a bit more off the bat, get small bottles and sampler packs from different companies to see what is out there. Ultimately you can make your own juice but I don't know if I would start there. But that's just me.

The above link has some very useful info concerning the Smokeless Image Volt/X2 lineup. I agree about getting more than one battery. I would recommend going straight to the X2 size batteries, or at the least getting one for home use and a few of the mini-size for outside the house.

Baditute........sorry for the thread hijack, but what is the Tank on top of your Blue Pro-Vari???
