ok guys. Let me know what you think of my plan being that I am a NewB and all.

Yesterday was my first full day without a cig and 100% dependant on my new V2 E-cig.
I must say it was Tuff. Today is my 2nd day and I want a Real Cig so bad , but luckily I am out .. I stay home with a handicap child , so its no like I can leave and get some , so I have to depend on the E-cig.

If I am going to do this, I am going to need some replacement Cartos by Monday so , I have to make an order today.
My Plan is to get the 40 pack from V2 with different flavors. and 40 pack costs $66.47 plus shipping , so we are looking at $1.66 each plus shipping. ( And I have a 15% off Coupon ). Then I plan to TRY other Juices .. But only in Mint/menthol , Coffee , Cola and maybe choc. for Now. And use those V2 Flavor Cartos to refill ...Since the Blanks EVERYWHERE are alot more.
What do you guys think ? OR.. Is there any place that sells Blank Cartos for less ???

I wouldn't sink that much money into prefilled cartos just yet. If you want to buy from V2, just get a few. They should be refillable, and then you can just order some sample packs of eliquids to refill. You would have much more variety in flavors.

V2 has KR808-D1 threading. There are a lot of places that sell bits and pieces with KR808-D1 threading. I would look around and do some price shopping for both prefilled and blank cartos.

The KR808-D1 threading is not the one I use so I can't give any specific vendors, but there are a lot of members who do use it, so someone will be by shortly to give you some recommendations. And don't forget, if push comes to shove, you can buy an adapter for about 3.00 to make it possible to use different threadings.

I have looked everywhere and cant find anything cheaper than $1.66 per cart. Blank or refilled. and If $66 is all I spend for a whole month, I will be happy. lol better than $150 for analogs. But If I spend more on E-cigs , I am going back to reg. smoking.

What mg or % are you using for the nicotine?

The way you've described your experience so far makes me think your not getting enough nic or its not kicking you hard enough.

6mg on the V2 Menthol prefilled carts that came with the kit. I smoked almost a pack a day menthol Lights before the changed the names to gold , lol.

Welcome to the forum! Can you tell us a little more about yourself? Smoking habits, etc.

I'm not telling you what you should do- but just my experience.

I never really started vaping to quit, I was around someone that needed to so I thought I should at least not smoke around them. If I wanted a cigarette in the beginning, I had one. I tried quitting (many methods) and failed and didn't want to set myself up to fail again. If I smoked less, it was a win in my book.

The longer I vaped the less I wanted to smoke.

But- my pv and my nicotine juice satisfied my nicotine craving. It sounds to me like yours isn't. If you do get more cartos from V2 maybe up the nicotine.

Well, there you go.

I started with 24 (and some 30 for rough times). Now I vape 24 or less and vape 12 at night. But this is after a year. I needed the 24 to quit cigs. My mom started with 36 and now vapes 6. But she needed that for a week or two to make the transition.

I'd really encourage bumping that up to at least 18mg for a pack a day smoker. I was a pack a day smoker and I started out at 24 and now I tend to hover between 12 and 18, depending on what I make or buy.

6mg just isn't enough to satisfy your cravings for a pack a day. Don't buy in bulk until you have something that you know works for you or your just going to be throwing money away.

If you buy nothing but what you need to get by you will save money doing this. You can even eventually get into DiY, which will save you even more money. I usually completely refill a carto about 5 times before I throw it out.

Overall I can say that 'realistically' I've saved a little bit of money since I started, but the health changes I've experienced would have been worth spending significantly more than what I have spent.

EDIT:
I was writing this up during all the reply's and I just thought it was kind of funny *everyone* said they started with 24 ;)

I agree try uping the nic and you can refill those carts i use 24mg all day every day but i notice that when i go to a 20 or 18 mg i vape way more and dont totally feel satisfied so i stick with 24mg and a bottle of 10ml liquid last me a week even though i have a lot of diff flavors..in the end remeber it all about you and finding that perfect vape and flavour. i got my dad started on this and it took him a while to find what worked for him and now that he is on it he loves it he can breath better taste the food he is eating and he feels a lot better but congrats on even giving this a try. i know that when i started i sunk a lot of money into this but right now i have saved a lot ore then when i was smoking over 4 years of not smoking one anolog

Dearme said a V2 has KR808 threading. You could buy empty cartomizers for around $8. A 30 ml bottle of juice is anywhere from $10-$15. You can fill up those empty cartomizers numerous times.

Get the prefilleds for now if you want- don't want to see you stop vaping. But think about at least trying to fill your own. You'll be surprised how much easier and better it really is.

You know , maybe I shouldnt be worried about quitting smoking right now , but just cutting back. I have to admit I do enjoy smoking sometimes. I was just looking at how much I was spending and wanted to cut that down.

I am all for trying the eliquid and filling my own. My point was about costs of Blanks being $8 plus shipping making them as MUCH as V2s Prefilled. So at least the will start Out with something in them and If I find a Coffee Liquid and other liguids to top them off , maybe that will keep the costs down.

Mate if you're running out of time to get your order delivered, just go ahead and get that 40 pack in a higher mg (I'd go full strength mostly, be wary of the throat hit though). It's not like those cartomizers can't be refilled many many times, and they're actually pretty good cartos fwiw.

Do that and relax for a bit, so what if you pay a few bucks more...take your time with finding suppliers once you've got a stash.

I've read from more than one poster that they buy prefilled because there isn't much difference in pricing between those and blanks. Heck, if my local supplier sold menthol or mint prefills, I would probably go that route, too. I will also say that I would have 2 analogs a day when I first started vaping, but I have been analog free for 11 days! So don't beat yourself up if you need one now and again until you get the right nic amount and the hang of vaping correctly. :toast:

Found this following a link in another most.....so taking long, slow pulls on your ecig might get you by until your new cartos with higher nic strength arrive. New vapers tend to vape like they are smoking where as older vapers take long slow pulls.

"It has been demonstrated that if an e-cigarette is used in the same way as a cigarette, zero or very little nicotine is delivered to the end-user."

I think your basic plan sounds good and agree with those that suggest higher nic strength.
When I decided to totally give up analogs (about 3 months after I started vaping), I stocked up with a whole bunch of pre-filled cartos. I wanted to avoid that deprived feeling that always went with quitting smoking. Having a big supply of cartos was comforting. Sounds like you found a good price on them.

You can always refill those cartos later. I have a bottle of menthol juice and one of coffee juice that I use to refill pre-filled cartos. Between the two of those I can usually avoid really rude flavor clashes. :) But then, I'm not all that particular about flavors.
