Hi Keith, I started out with that kit 2 months ago and haven't had a cig since. Since then, my husband, my mom, my aunt and my friend's husband have all ordered them and have quit also (my friend's husband quit chewing). I have been happy with it. I have had the chance to try two other batteries and the V2 has been the best (the other ones seemed to be really "airy"). I like that it's a 2 piece system. Their cartomizers are KR808D1 so anyone who sells those will work. I know V4L and SmokeTip carry them. I am now looking into ordering juices and refilling the cartomizers (don't throw away your used cartomizers in case you want to try that down the road). Oh, the batteries last about 1/2 a day for me.

Having said all that, I am a newbie also so I don't have much to compare to. I smoked ultra-lights a little over a pack a day. My husband smoked Marlboro regular a little over a pack a day. We both got the 12mg nicotine. Actually, all of us have been getting the 12mg, except for my friend's husband. He ordered the 24mg cartomizers from V4L. He chewed about the equivalent of 6 packs of cigs a day, no joke.

Happy vaping!!

I have the V2, the kit one step up from the traveler kit and I'm very happy with it. Listen to these people, they're a huge help. I was a pack a day Marb Light smoker so this kit is good for me and I haven't had a real cigarette in a week, and truly do not want one. What I like about the V2 was all the extra's in the kit. I have three batteries so I'm never without a fully charged one and the battery life seems really good to me, though I have nothing to compare it to. Even spending $150 on a kit is WAY better than an $85 carton of Marbs every couple of weeks. Congrats on deciding to make the switch,,, you won't be sorry!

If you can afford to wait for the shipping you can get echo-e batteries for 9.95 each 1300mah 4.2 volt a charger or two and a whole bunch of the echo-e and boge 2.0 cartomizers at healthcabin.com and that place is a great deal . you would be set. you may need stronger than 18mg. Like someone mentioned above the kgo kit from darkcityvapors is great I just bought a couple of sets with the 2.0 boge cartomizers and it works great. lots of vapor and it arrived swiftly.

Wow. That's quite a deal.

Like others have said, I feel the V2 kit is def overpriced.

If you dont mind the slightly bigger size(which most people get used to very quickly) then the Riva, E-Power, or kGo would be a great kit to get you started. I really think youd be happy with any of the 3. Their MUCH cheaper than the V2 and a better PV!
I have an E-Power and love it. The only big difference about the E-Power compared to the Riva or kGo is that it uses non-proprietary batteries. E-Power batts cost $4-5 compared to eGo/Riva/kGo batts that cost $14-20. And everything is replaceable on the E-Power, so between that and the cheap batteries, it really keeps maintanace costs down. I also find it easier to carry a spare battery for an E-Power compared to a Riva/kGo. The E-Power batteries are about the size of a AA battery but alittle longer, so its easy to always have a spare in your pocket/bag. For the Riva/kGo/echo or any other PV that uses proprietary batteries, to carry a spare you basically have to carry a second PV. So thats why I went with the E-Power and not the kGo, but if thats not an issue for you, than any of them I think youd be really happy with. They all perform well and will help you kick the cig habit. If you do get the E-Power, Riva, or kGo, I would try the Ressurector cartos like a few people mentioned above. They are what I use daily on my E-Power and are the cartos you get for free if you order the E-Power from CCV. They work great on all three devices and give good TH and LOTS of vapor.

Goodluck with everything!

Great Advice - Thanks To All

I have looked at CCV's site only to discover that the E-Power system is back ordered. I attempted multiple times to call to see when this proct would be in stock, but as of yet have not gotten any info.

I guess maybe a little more info on my lifestyle and habit might assist in the info sought: I am the Maintenance Supervisor for a small private high school, this being said it is my hope to start vaping while the students and staff are on Christmas Break to avoid casualties as I break the habit of "Analogs". I will not say that cost is not an issue, but I am willing to spend what it takes to get the job done.

I have been looking at different "Juice" suppliers for 36 mg. and will order as soon as the system is ordered.

Again, I have visited each and ever vendor site recommended here and will continue to do so.

Thanks Again and keep the info coming.

Hi KaBird and welcome to ECF. I noticed you're going to be starting with 36 mg Nic the same as I started on. I'm now down to 20 mg and almost ready to go to 15 mg. I would suggest you have some extra PG and VG on hand to dilute your juice in case the Nicotine level is too high. VG USP can be purchased at Walmart in the Pharmacy Section and VG can be purchased either from your juice supplier (expensive) or special order at the Pharmacy. Nothing worse than seeing a new vaper with nic juice that is eithr too strong or too weak IMHO. Also if you find there's not enough vapor or TH adding either PG or VG will solve this problem. Understand if you do dilute the juice the flavor will also be diluted. Also if you do order the E-Power it may be a good idea to also include an extra replacement switch.
Good Luck and Happy Vaping, Vapoor.
Good Luck, Vapoor.

I as I have mentioned, I am still reading all the responces and "Looking In To" any and all info provided. That said, I stumbled on a post earlier which mentioned the Indulgence V3 Mod 3.7V Kit. Can anyone offer any feedback on this unit? I am looking at it due to the battery size, 510 format. I am assuming the Cartomisers are what I would need as oppose to the atomizer. I found this unit at Elite Vaporworks.

Look forward to hearing some opinions.

Thanks

Keith

Hairball recommended that pv, and to me, she's pretty much a mod expert. Yes, you could use 510 cartos on that. I've purchased from them and they're an excellent supplier.

Edit: try the code weekend, it might work.

I guess maybe I am suffering from info overload -

The mantra of a good maintenance man is always "Keep It Simple Stupit" ;-p

I am seriously looking at the Indulgence V3 but I just noticed a twenty dollar differance in kits (?) I'm think it's the batteries offered but not sure (?)

I am thinking a "Tank System" is what I need (?) Again I smoke two plus packs a day of non-filters.

I know nothing in life is easy, free or well "Idiot Proff'. so kep the info and suggestions coming PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

I have an E-Power and while I do like it, I got one that doesn't turn off, so I tend not to use it much. I quit smoking over two years ago using the KR808D-1 from Vapor4Life and I still use them - but I'm in love with my new Riva 510. I just love it and I highly recommend it.

I would strongly suggest that you order at least one bottle of 24mg or 36mg liquid because 18mg may not be enough to keep you away from analogs. My two cents.

Thanks Again for all the great help from you all.

I am strongly leaning towards the

Indulgence V3 Mod 3.7V Kit (Indulgence V3 Mod 3.7V Kit - Mods) plus

2- 510 DCT - Dual Coil Cartomizer Tank V2 (510 DCT - Dual Coil Cartomizer Tank V2 - Carto Tanks) and

4 or 6- 510 DCT Replacement Cartomizer - 1.5 Ohm (510 DCT Replacement Cartomizer - 1.5 Ohm - Carto Tanks)

Other then juice, is there anything else I will need?

Looking Forward to any and all replies as I hope to close the deal tomorrow, Friday at the latest.

You could always PM Hairball. I know she posted that she has one.

OT- but I was really happy purchasing from Elite. They had a pv on sale on Black Friday and when I saw it they were out. I emailed him and asked if they had any more (at a ridiculously low price) he said he'd check and try to find one for me and emailed me that he did. It's something he definitely didn't have to do. I thought it was a really nice thing to do. He even emailed to see if I was happy with it.

Hey there!!! A fellow newbie vapor in Georgia!!! I just started vaping a little over a month ago. My wife and I have a device called an eGo-T. We got the starter kit at vaporkings.com They have good e-liquid at that site as well. My personal favorite e-liquid (and I've ordered from a lot of places) is mstsbakery.com. Also bobo's bounty from avejuice.com is very good.

Happy vaping!
Sean

I have been reading this forum, many hours over the past three days. The info is great and reads as honest with an intent to assist. That being said, I guess it is my turn to ask for your advice. I will start by telling you all I am nearly fifty and a two plus pack smoker of non-filter cigs for nearly 35 years. There have been multiple attemps to quit, but as of yet no long term success. The E-Cig route, from all my reading appears to be a helpful solution with a long term plan.

The unit I am considering is the V2 Traveler Kit at $130.00.

The reviews I have read here are consistant as to the quality of the product, or so I belive. I am guessing I will go with the full flavored cart at 18mg.

Here is where you all can help - If you know a better option as a package that is comperable that would be great. I also intend on filling carts, so any info on juice and blanks that will work with this system would be appreciated.

My goal is to order by weeks end, and start 2012 as a non-smoker. Your guidance is is welcome and I will report on my decissions and review and products promptly and honesty as all have done.

Thanks In Advance

Keith
