Hello ECF, I am brand new to vaping (2 1/2 weeks) and i love it.
I have a couple of questions i'm wondering if anyone can help me with.
I have a eGo c starter kit, with upgrade battery. At first it works real good but after a couple of days it loses its bite. So i clean the system (bat/ atomizer conection.the atomizer itself) my first question is how long does thr average atomizer last those of you who are heavy vapers?
So in 2 1/2 weeks i've already spent $80 on atomizers ( i have alot left) but i am interested in making my own. Im looking at bamboo yarn, other then the boil, is there any other prep i have to do. Ie: wrap a end in foil,
Thanks

Welcome , but never heard of using bamboo yarn . Hey if it works , great . No you don't need to wrap the ends with foil . Not knowing exactly the atty you speak of , makes it difficult to give you a good answer . There are alot of re-buildables out there that can work on Ego's . You might look at the mini Vivi-Nova , or similar . Some of the stardust / Kanger types , are also rebuildable . Good Luck . And by all means , go look on youtube . There are tons of video's on re-building / re-wicking , etc .

The way it was explained to me, they last a lot longer if you keep your tank topped off. Also, if you clean them ever couple of days. (Although, that part might've been because they wanted to sell me cleaner at $2/5mL! I bought one bottle; then, while researching what the stuff was, found out that all it was was grain - NOT isopropl - alcohol... I saved about $75 by buying a bottle of everclear, even though I don't drink!)

Here's a link that will you some info on your battery:
Joyetech eGo-C Upgrade Battery
Basically there 2 voltages you can fires at. 3.3 volts which is a weaker vape but the battery will last longer OR approx 3.7 volts but the battery will drain quicker until it drains down to 3.2 volts.

If you're using the older "tank" system (cartridge+ atomizer) that's the original outdated tank system and is prone to leaks. Try cartomizers and/ or a Vision brand Vivi Nova tank.

So if you are using a silica wick you really can't dry burn, the wick will burn giving a, well, burnt taste. Best to keep it topped off as mentioned earlier. Also the taste can change as the juice gets older and if you are new to vaping, your taste buds will be changing. Try vaping several flavors changing them out through the day. Vape On! BTW I would NOT use isopropl as a cleaning agent, PGA,vodka or distilled water only for me.
