Hi all, Trilly here in the UK.
So here is a little about me, working mummy in the uk, smoked from 17 but gave up for 5 years till life threw some very nasty crap and cigs seemed the lesser evil (drink and me do not mix so I avoid at all costs), cut right down while I was pregnant (tried giving up but found I was allergic to all the patches and losanges) and have tried many times since my son was born (he has a heart condition and CF so imperritive I get something that works). It was actually his specialist that pointed me in the direction of vaping telling me I would still get my nic fix and would be able to wean myself at a better pace for me and in the mean time I wouldn't be harming my little boy. Full of enthusiasm I, along with a few friends (20 in total) found the I-cig on amazon, we ordered and were very disappointed, I couldn't get it to work at all and I wasn't the only one, only 1 person got to grips with it but their service was appalling and evenually she gave it up too (I have since found out it probably wasn't me that was at fault, the one person it worked for tried everyone elses of which less that half worked anyway).
This time we have done some research, a few managed to get comfortable with some from 'Totally Wicked' but I have to admit, I don't like the look of them, too industial with a few looking like deformed screwdrivers (no offence intended, they just don't appeal to me).
After spending countless hours reading/watching reveiws I think I have narrowed it down to a possible 2, the first is Sky Cig and the second is the JacVapour Sport kit.
The JacVapour seems to be the one more appealing, the reveiws I have read is that it is easy to use and the 'juice' flavours are nice and not too overpowering. I was wondering what you guys think.
As for my smoking habits, I'm not a heavy smoker, normally 10 a day, more on a rare night out where I can easily end up with 30 in a day.
What I'm after is something that is easy to use, discrete (I don't like standing out too much from the crowd) and easy to obtain in the UK (after reading many of the threads and looking at pics on here, I'm confused by how many different types there are).
All suggestions welcome

Hi Trilly and welcome

It is confusing, especially to the newcomer, so many devices, so many choices to make.

The JacVapour Sport Kit is a good starting point, and out of the two you mentioned, would be my preference.

Like everyone new to vaping you dont want to stand out, you are used to a cigarette in the hand, and want to keep that feeling, which is totally understandable.

But beware, choosing an ecig that looks and feels like a cigarette, will give the impression to others that it is a cigarette, and you dont want that. So when making your choice, try and stay away from white, as a colour choice.

There are many good UK Vendors out there, and the choice of juices as well as ecigs is superb.

During the week commencing the 7th November, we at Vapourtrails.tv will be holding a Beginners Week, where we will be covering as much information as possible to help those new to vaping, I know that is of no use to you right now, but may give you some tips and simple guides.

Dont get too bogged down with choices at this stage, later you may wish to purchase an ecig with longer battery life, or different looks etc., that's the future, now is time to find a suitable starter kit, and a juice that you like to top up with..

Hi and welcome!

I started vaping 1 week ago after digging around on this forum for information. I was just as confused as you, and still am

I chose a DSE901 because it looks like a pen, rather than a screwdriver like you mentioned. You have definitely come to the right place, and I am so happy to hear that you are giving vaping a go to save your own as well as your boys health.

I hope you go ahead and make a decision on your vaping device, there are loads of reviews on here if you are still not sure. I also think that most people try out a couple of different devices and nic flavours before they settle on their preferred choice. Youtube is also a good place to check out to see the different VPs in action...

All the best!

Can't view youtube at work but have had a good look at home, as you have said there are so many choices. Sorry to sound silly but what is a DSE901? Pen style sounds good (although I dread the images of my LO tryiong to colour with it).

Also Thanks Cat, I'll check out the week you mentioned in your post, as I have said, all advise welcome
