Im about to get my first charger after vaping on iTastes and an Ego ONE. I want to do this right the first time. So what is the best charger at the moment? Price is not a factor. The top priority is safety, both when charging and if the batteries are sitting in there when not.

Is it still the Pila? Something new from xtar? Or something else?

Thanks much for getting a newb started right.

Efest luc v2 or v4
Nitcore d2, d4 / i2, i4
Xtar vc2, vc4 / vp1, vp2, vp4

I never had much luck with Pila chargers. The only one Ive owned that was inconsistent/ under or over charged & melted down when it died was a pila.
My first I2 stopped charging & melted also, no problems from any of the other I2's or Nitcore.
The efest luc has lived the longest, so far.

I wouldn't store or leave batteries in a charger whether plugged in or not after they've finished charging, when charging is complete remove them.

There really isn't a 'best' or 'safest' charger, look for one that has the features you want / need.

I agree with the above. Stick with the higher end Nitecore, Xtar, or Efest LUC or Pila chargers and you'll be fine to get your money's worth. Look for the features which are most important for you.

The Pila has been among the top chargers for years, but it has not had any upgrades like a real time LCD voltage meter and has only 2 charging bays. The other brands have the fancy and practical digital displays.

Questions to ask yourself: Do you need two or four independent charging bays? Do you need your charger to be able to resurrect over-drained batteries? Do you need to charge different chemistry batteries? Do you need to charge odd-sized batteries like 18350 or 26650 batteries?
