XTAR VP2 charger question

Hi guys,

I upgraded to this charger from one of those cheap 8 dolla ones that I first got with my ProVari last year. I chose this one over the Pila (typo?) because I liked the LED/LCD display and knowing what my charge was without even taking it out of the charger...love the blue LCD screen!

Anyways I wanted to know if it was safe to leave the charger plugged in even without batteries in them? I get annoyed having to constantly unplug my chargers in general...now with the cheap one I had I can understand it's best to unplug but what about the xtar?

Should be fine. Always better to err on the side of caution when possible. But should be fine. I leave mine plugged in in my bosses tractor...
